Can't restructure Boldin's he is in his last year, you can extend him if they choose too.

After 2 injury plagued seasons, I doubt he gets that much, even though he's worth that when he is healthy.

That's what I meant. I would like to see him extended for another year or two.

Beatty just signed a deal paying him about 7 per year and he was better than Long last year.

If long signs for $10m per year that would be a steal

Franchise tag is 14.6 million so I assume his first year cap hit will be a few million under that. I hope around 9-10 million for next year.

I read somewhere that's what he's asking. (Doesn't mean he'll get it though.) And it's not a matter of whether he's worth it; it's a question of how much the Ravens will have to fill some critical spots. A lot depends on what the Ravens do with Reed, Leach, and the contracts of Ngata and Suggs.

No need for Long, keep Mckinnie for a 2 year deal, he was better than Long anyway.

For a team with cap space, sure. Do the Ravens have that much cap space?

Damn, that matches Big Jen's contract. I thought he'd go for the $20.5M that Stafford or someone has. This proves he is truly an elite QB.

Horrayyy for Flacco. Baltimore's favorite son. Now that Ray is gone.

    Only due to Long's injury.

That make sense, because Joe has to actually sign it.

NFL just raised the CAP ceiling to $123M for 2013 and Ravens were about $9M under before that so that should be enough for Joe and maybe Ellerbe but I'm just guessing.

It's already known the deal isn't signed, hence Flacco signing it Monday.

All I'm going to say is, as good as AW is, he said the same thing about Ray Rice the day he signed his deal. Of course nothing is done until you sign on the dotted line.

I think you're reading too much into his words.

"Unlikely this thing falls apart at this stage even though nothing has been finalized yet. All signs point toward a huge deal for Joe Flacco"
