Maybe it's an automatic stand-by generator for the Super Dome.

Re: Ravens to give City of New Orleans a "generous gift"
Considering the write up, I speculate it is a donation to a policeman's fund such as the NOPD Tragedy Fund or some other fund sponsored by the New Orleans Police & Justice Foundation. Any money given to that group would be great, I think.
I'm actually anxious to see what they do. A classy gesture indeed. Has anyone ever heard of a team doing something like this before?

The Ravens have decided to show gratitude to New Orleans with a gift.
And the gift, we’re told, is a pair of 2013 Harley Davidson FLHP motorcycles, donated by the team to the New Orleans Police Department Traffic Division.
The announcement will be made by receiver Jacoby Jones at a Wednesday morning press conference.
The Ravens also have purchased an advertisement in the New Orleans Times-Picayune expressing thanks “to the citizens of New Orleans, including your outstanding police department, for your warm reception and first-class service to Ravens players, coaches and fans.”
It’s a unprecedented gesture by the Super Bowl-winning team to the host city, and we have a feeling it will become a trend.
Especially if the Ravens can repeat.Last edited by HoustonRaven; 03-06-2013 at 08:47 AM.

Pretty cool gesture.
No team has done this before?

Really nice gesture from Bisciotti.
I think the Ravens are the first team to do this.

Great idea by the Ravens. The winning team should do something like this for every host city. Bisciotti and the Ravens once again lead the league in class

New Orleans was really a great venue for the SB. To me that seems like the best place to have a SB.

Re: Ravens to give City of New Orleans a "generous gift"
class act by a class organization. my picture on my phone screen is a packed bourbon street after the game. everytime i see it it reminds me of the energy in the crowd that night in a sea of purple. you couldn't ask for a better setting and experience.
there was one guy on bourbon street, who was relatively young, dressed in full Johnny Unitas gear. he had the shoulder pads, knee pads, black hightops, helmet and everything. it was classic.

I do believe this is the first act of it's kind done by a superbowl winner. The ravens are trendsetters. Love it.
