Re: Coping with Mile High
SRF,
I'd also like to welcome you to the Colorado Raven Faithful! Get ready to be disgusted by everything Orange and Blue, and if you've got any lingering anti-John Elway sentiment, you'll have to deal with that too, since his mug is on everything out here (at least when you come down to Denver).
Rav52, it will be great to see you again next Monday.

Re: Coping with Mile High
Fade is right on about the water. You can drink as much as you can and it never seems like you can get enough. Especially if you drink something with a bit more of a kick. You can get a bad case of cottonmouth there
And the altitude isn't so much of an issue with elite athletes as it is wth you and me. The more you expose yourself to it, the less of an issue it is.
I'll be in Denver on Monday as well. I still can't forget last year when Boller fumbled the ball without being touched. The guy behind me couldn't control his laughter, and said "No, seriously, is this your team's best quarterback?".
It'll be nice to see everyone's favorite Marine!

I have an extra ticket for the game, if anyone is interested...it's upper deck, around 20-30 yard line, 20 rows up.

Re: Coping with Mile High
Thanks RockyMRaven - I'm looking forward to getting out there. Our builder is in the Colorado Springs area.
FellsPointRaven - you and WxKevin should come over and see us EVERY game! The Evil Party Ball is always there (however it's not always full!).
Gerg - I will be leaving the Evil Party Ball here for the tailgating crew we will be leaving behind so that they can continue the tradition. I think they are buying the RV from me as well, so that will still be on the same lot every year.
DenverJohn - I have been out to Breckenridge a few times and amazingly there didn't seem to be many Broncos fans there. I met fans from New York, Tennessee, Miami and New England though (no Steeler fans yet either - woo hoo!). No matter what, I will be wearing my purple very proudly! And yes, I do still harbor bad feelings when it comes to that horse-faced jackass Elway and I always will. I don't plan to make many trips to Denver - except to board a plane to come back to Balitmore for about 4 games each year.

Re: Coping with Mile High
The EPB was purchased on EBay a few year back. A friend of mine has since bought one, though. I'll find out where she bought hers and let you know.
We don't have jobs lined up yet, however once our house is sold, we can pay off the loan on the lot, build our house, have no mortgage and some $$ in the bank, so we'll find jobs once we get there.

Re: Coping with Mile High
Rav- I'll be flying to Denver Saturday as well. I think it's United, round 3pm. Get to Denver bout 7pm.I will be in attendance at the game, I fly to the beautiful Rockies on Saturday...
I am pumped up about this. I wasn't planning on any regular season road trips this year because I believe I'll be spending chunks of money to see the ravens in the Super Bowl (Again!!).
Dad (Lives in Golden)called me up Friday and said he's got 4-50Yd line tickets, lower deck, 27 rows from the field(27?24? cant remember exactly).
Only bummer is that I doubt he'll want to get there 5 hours before the game to tailgate!!!

Re: Coping with Mile High
Only Monday Night Football I'll be watching all year (9am lecture on Tuesdays) and I'm so looking forward to it gonna be a fantastic atmosphere and both teams are gonna be really really really up for this one, our D vs Plummer is a key matchup I really really like in this one. When composed Plummer has become a much better QB, but pressure him and he's the same old Jake.

Rattlesnake Trap?
I thought I ate enough of that during the many never-ending artillery excercises I deployed on to 29 Palms, California!!
Besides, my "rattlesteak" will probably NEED MORE COWBELL...
