Re: Week 2 Trip.
I'll be having a Ravens tailgate for my 40th this weekend. Making all the family wear NFL stuff and eat American food. Then we watch the England football game - poor substitute I know. After that a few of us are going to watch Hull KR at Batley - if win we are confirmed as 'Minor Premiers' and get home field in the play-offs.
Then it only 11 days to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've got to tell you, my mother's boyfriend is a Batley Bulldogs fan. I think she's been to every home game of theirs this year.

Re: Week 2 Trip.
Are we supposed to bring celery stalks to the tailgate party?

Re: Week 2 Trip.
I will be bringing a 'stock' of celery - provided I can find a good market in the downtown area.
MrT - the more everyone else bring - the more we can throw. I almost hope there are a few Raiders fans at the match. Silver and Balck should make a good target!
Fells - given the reputation of Hull KR fans away its probably best we do not arrange to meet up!!!!

If you throw a celery stick at a Raider fan does he pull an Uzi 9mm?
The Friday evening meet & greet, drink session sounds like ablast.I have to get rid of all these $$$$'s somehow.Actually we will be doing a big Raven accessory shop probably Monday so better go easy on the $$$$'s.

Re: Week 2 Trip.
Just weeks to go and I should probably stop playing footie on a Wednesday night lol, put a friction burn on top of a friction burn last night and under a sliding tackle nearly had my ankle and knee taken out. Not sure I'd be able to fit crutches into cattle class, lol.
If I survive this 21st Birthday I'm going to this weekend then it's plain sailing (well, hopefully flying) to Baltimore.

Re: Week 2 Trip.
Kevin - I believe we're going for something to eat at a yet-to-be-determined location. Somewhere that serves good crabcakes and steaks would be good. Then we will be going on a pub crawl in Baltimore - likely Fell's Point/Canton area.

Re: Week 2 Trip.
In those pictures I have my jersey "hanging out" although you can only see my wife and I above the waist. I don't tuck it in either, it is too restricting.
Somebody must have doctored those pictures, there seems to be about 25 lbs less of me. Oh that's right, these pictures were from a couple of years ago

Re: Week 2 Trip.
I am not a big drinker.Only drink at social functions.
OK Kevin I better stick near you at the tailgate and we can create our "Hanging Out" Jersey fraternity.
The Celery,is an old Northern England tradition, where natives dance round a campfire with a stick of celery up each nostril.
Or it could be an old Rugby song."Celery,celery." UKRaven can tell you more.
Me being a soft southerner and all doesn't understand it either.
