I played safety and corner back in the day and when you see one of these guys coming around the corner and all you see is shoulder pads and thigh pads, it is not fun. You go low and hope he doesn't

Rice and Pierce definitely have to be happy with this signing. Ravens O will give many looks this year, opposing defense will have to adjust on the run.

Those are some of my favorite plays. I think he had twice last year where he was a yard out and he can take 2 strides left and go in untouched. Or, 2 strides right and nail somebody as he crosses the goal line. Both times he went right and demolished somebody.

We know Oz would not overpay, so that is not an issue.

If we must run more post Boldin/Pitta, we are now well reinforced.

Worst case (LOL) we have the living enbodiment of "play like a Raven / smash mouth football."

I don't think this means they'll rush it more overall, although Caldwell did call more run plays. But it's invaluable for getting in a groove early to make the play action work, and slow drives closing out games with the lead. And let's face it, if the run is working, it wears on the D

Very good to hear. Glad the league didn't value him, because I sure do.

If you can get the best player at his position at a reasonable price you do it. The question is given the other offers Leach received was the Ravens price still reasonable or is it expensive? Guess we'll find out.
