Re: GAME THREAD - Ravens/Cardinals - Bird v. Bird
1st from the 39, 47 seconds left, complete to Mason to the 32-33.
2nd and 3, give to Musa for a couple. TO Ravens.

Re: GAME THREAD - Ravens/Cardinals - Bird v. Bird
It will be 3rd and 1, with 19 seconds left from the 30. Would be a challenge for Stover into the wind from here. You'd like another 5-10 yards.

Are we driving against the wind?

Re: GAME THREAD - Ravens/Cardinals - Bird v. Bird
3rd and 1, Boller sneaks, gets a yard or 2, they run the clock to 5 seconds and take a TO. It will be on Stover's leg here.

Re: GAME THREAD - Ravens/Cardinals - Bird v. Bird
Let's give credit to Boller here for the nice 2-minute drive. Granted, a 46-yarder is hardly a gimme, but he got us in position to win, and that's all that matters

Matt Stover for the Ring of Honour!
Just put him up there now, screw waiting for him to retire.
Also get a University somewhere in the state to get researching on the elixor of life to keep him as our kicker for the next century please.

Re: GAME THREAD - Ravens/Cardinals - Bird v. Bird
Props to Boller, but why did he come in? Did McNair get hurt again? At a key time in the game, again?
Twice Boller's had to come in under pressure now and done everything he can to get it done.

They said McNair tweaked his groin, and they were hoping to protect McNair up 14.

Re: GAME THREAD - Ravens/Cardinals - Bird v. Bird
Ravens clearly didn't take the final key lesson from the Terps thankfully. That would have been WAY WAY WAY too much for one weekend if we'd managed to screw that up.
Still disgustingly worrying back to back 2nd half performances in spite of the wins. I've not seen either game yet but I've no idea what we're doing with our 2nd half play calling that's causing these meltdowns.

Re: GAME THREAD - Ravens/Cardinals - Bird v. Bird
LOL.
I would like to thank Kyle Boller, whoever hit Heap for the penalty, and Matt Stover, for me not having to sit in the sun and fry up for overtime.
Defense needs to figure out how to play all 4 quarters. I am still pissed that warner was able to tear our secondary to shreds.
But I'll take the win considering the fact that Pittsburgh beat SF.

Re: GAME THREAD - Ravens/Cardinals - Bird v. Bird
GREAT job by Boller to get Stover into range to pick up the slacker defense. He led a nice drive his previous possession as well. The man is a quarterback we can depend on now, after all the grief he's taken, would you all agree? He won this game, tied the Bengals game and almost tied it a second time with the throw off Heap's chest. I have faith in Kyle - I've always felt he could do the job if he got protection and dependable receivers.

Re: GAME THREAD - Ravens/Cardinals - Bird v. Bird
At this stage i see absolutely no difference between Boller and McNair. If anything Kyle takes better care of the ball.
This is not on Billick at all. He didn't play conservative in the second half. He called a good game, and he mixed the run and pass just fine. Warner was just able to shred our defense. I just hope this defense tightens up because we won't fair well against elite teams like this.
