Ravens, Pats and Jets are Interested in Michael Sam

Per PFT, Aaron Wilson and the Sun ....

I was rather unimpressed with his combine but he had me thinking twice after his pro day.

I'd be totally fine giving him a shot though I'd be a bit concerned about the media distraction that will follow his first week or two at camp.

I wouldn't be unhappy at all to get him with our 5th round comp pick.

No thanks. At all. As a UDFA? Sure. Draft pick? Nope. Not interested at all.

He has a lot of try hard, but very little athleticism. Just watch him run. Stiff as a board.

Gil Brand doesn't have him in his top 100. He said if he expanded it to 200 he still wouldn't make the list.

He's just not an explosive athlete at all.

Yep. Given 8 draft picks, there are simply better options. If the Ravens select him, I'll root for him to tear it up on the field. I just think they can find better athletes.

not to mention that we'd be spending a pick on a guy who'd be automatically behind Suggs, Doom, Simon, Upshaw, McPhee and Hamilton.

Exactly. If they like him and he doesn't get drafted, use an IR spot and stash him for the year.

Looks like a special teams player at best. He does 1 thing well and that is move straight ahead.

As we all know the Ravens never let the media know who is on their radar until after the draft.

If he is still on the board come rounds 6 or 7, you can bet Lord Roger will be making some "encouraging" phone calls to a few front office execs.
