Monday Night Must Win?
Is the Monday night game against the Steelers a must win game? If we lose we drop to 4-4 with 3 division losses, the toughest part of the schedule ahead of us, and a possibly divided locker room. I know it's still early in the season but it sounds like must win to me.

A must win for what? What is the goal/expectation for this team? A division title? A playoff appearance? What can we really expect?

Re: Monday Night Must Win?
Going into the season the talk was playoffs with the possibility of the Super Bowl.

Re: Monday Night Must Win?
When two players are injured during the bye week(Rolle and Gaither), it is just not our year. I for one am looking forward to rebuilding with an influx of youth.

Re: Monday Night Must Win?
Plus anyone that had a notion of a Super Bowl has had that notion for the past four years. Meanwhile we have not won a single playoff game since 2001. It is like Baltimore fans talk Super Bowl every August without looking around the AFC.

Re: Monday Night Must Win?
Considering we went 13-3 last season and brought pretty much the whole team back, considering the Super Bowl wasn't unrealistic at all. You can't predict injuries, and the Ravens have had a lot of them.It is like Baltimore fans talk Super Bowl every August without looking around the AFC.
And your "Baltimore fans talk Super Bowl every August" take is ridiculous -- no one was talking Super Bowl last August, when we were coming off a 6-10 season.

Re: Monday Night Must Win?
I hate to use the term "must win" at any time, but the bigger picture then going 4-4 (should they lose on MNF) is they would be 0-3 in the Division....so in all probable sense of the word...yeah I'd say it is a "Must Win" on Monday

Re: Monday Night Must Win?
This is absolutely a must win for this team. Unfortunately with McCallister and Rolle out it looks like it is going to take a miracle. Oh well, we will see and I will root as hard as ever.
Jburns, are you even a Ravens fan? Get out of this message board!!- Section 133 for eternity!
- I know... The family resemblance is uncanny.

Re: Monday Night Must Win?
Bottom line- this is absolutely a must win. Without Rolle and CMac; Pryce only playing 15 plays; Heap iffy; we need Mcnair to come up big. Go Ravens, beat Shitsburg!

Re: Monday Night Must Win?
Stop living in a dream world. Rolle, C Mac and Heap not playing don't disrespect the Steelers this game is over before it starts. We have faced
2nd string QB's this year except for The first game against the Bengals. It's time to rebuild. Oh I'm not a Steelers fan I'm a Ravens fan and a season ticket holder speaking the truth. I pay $ 80 a game to go to a game at which I go to every game but I call it like it is. I have the balls to say what you're thinking.
I love the Ravens but we are in real trouble. The rest of the games are a lot harder then our first 7 games at which we could only be 4-3.

Re: Monday Night Must Win?
Anyone who thinks this is NOT a must win is deluding themselves! A loss tomorrow night, and see you next year. And I don't want to hear the injury excuse. Good teams win Despite injuries! This team put themselves in this postion with an UnderAchieving performance thus far this year. Poor execution, poor discipline, and a lack of intensity have put us in the whole. I said it before, and I'll say it again - don't be surprised if we finish behind the Brownies in third place this year, with basically the same personnel we had last year.

Re: Monday Night Must Win?
I agree with you. The point I was making was back up your statement with facts ravens138. Although I totally disagree with " the game is over before it starts". If the Ravens shut down the run they have a chance.Roethlissberger has proven if he is aked to throw too much he struggles. If I lived in a dream world I would say the Ravens are a guaranteed to win.And guarantees don't exist in the NFL.
