When was the last time a Patriot (winners of 3 of the last 7 Superbowls) had a meltdown? How about the Colts? Steelers?

Because they are winners....when you win you don't get pissed. These teams are constant playoff contenders. I bet if you watch the Steelers last year you'd find players pissed off, etc.

Look...the facts are we have 1 playoff win since the Superbowl win. Something has to change....period.

I'm not surprised, in the least, that this happened I think Bisciotti is a lousy owner. Good owners don't let the players make their decisions for them. Billick is better off out of it, there was no way to win with the likes of Lewis and Ogden running the place. He'll probably hire Ryan, what a joke that will be.
Do you really think the players on this team would respond to a hard ass disciplinarian?

I never heard alot of players on the Steelers openly diss their coach. Those that became even somewhat of a malcontent (Plexiglass, Porter) were shipped off. That's how you run a team.

How many of these players on other teams have their own show and podium?

    Re: Brian Billick Fired?

I'm actually kind of surprised....I thought he may be here for one more year just due to the enormous amount of injuries......

I will say this: If Billick was "REALLY" the problem, then I don't want to hear Ray or any of the players bitch about playcalling next year!!!! Go out there and play the game and earn your keep.

If for nothing else, it will bring a new (positive) attitude to the team when they show up next year. Here's a thought as well: Sometimes the grass isn't always greener.....

I surely hope Bisciotti has another coach lined up already...........I am truly nervous about this team and I really don't know how to feel about Billick being gone.......

Biscuit says he didn't approach the players for their opinion. Only 'other personel'. He never went in the locker room and said the only time he does in when he gives tours to kids.

Also says that he has not interviewed Coach Cowher. In fact they have never met and they have not even thought about a replacement.

Oh great. I have a very very bad feeling about this.

Brians contract will be paid. Brian's staff signed two year contracts last year. They will be paid but no guarantee that the new regime will keep Brian's staff.

    Re: Brian Billick Fired?

He's coming across as what he is to me, a young owner. I don't think he's used to handling the media in this way and that's blatantly obvious in this presser.

I suspect and hope that he has thought this through in a much more thorough process than he has articulated it.
