GAME THREAD - Preseason Opener - Pats

Welcome back to another exciting year of Ravens football! Lovely to be here, and I'll be your game thread host for 2008. Please center all in-game comments to this thread, and we should have a nice discussion as I do play by play. Lots of good stuff to watch for tonight! Have fun, and enjoy the thread.

    GO RAVENS!!!

1st, PA, nice fake, complete to Mason at the 40-41. Nice play.

1st, Rice with the carry, gets 1 as the hole closes quickly. Figurs is starting, BTW.

2nd and 9, complete to Figurs, gain of about 13, first down.

1st, PA, turns into a screen for Rice, makes some nice moves and gets maybe 2, but they read it really well.

2nd and 8, PA, Boller steps up, looks to run and dumps to Rice, gets him about 4.
3rd and 4, 4 wide, screen dropped by Rice. Probably wouldn't have netted a first, but shake those nerves out, kid.

Sephy love your play by play, works well for those of us at work that can't see the game right now.

Seems like the offense started with a good groove. Glad to hear Kyle looking good to start.

6/7 for about 60 yards for Kyle. Good start.

Ayanbadejo takes down the Pat by the neck at about the 18. Nice wrapup.

1st, Maroney gets maybe 1 on the cutback.
2nd and 9, Cassel way overthrows Jackson who was covered pretty well.
3rd and 9, bubble screen read IMMEDIATELY by Jarret Johnson, and blows up Johnson who drops the pass.

No problem folks. I'm just as pumped as ever for Ravens football.

A tenuous fair catch at the 32. Holding on the Ravens. Move em to the 22. A Pat is down.

Looked like the 2nd string NE offense out there on the first drive

1st, Rice straight up the middle for about 3.
2nd and 7, PA, incomplete for Bergen? Hits the turf. Flag down for holding on the Ravens. Slaughter looked ridiculous trying to stop Seymour.
2nd and 17, another screen for Rice, gets back around the 20, about 6-ish.
3rd and 11, fired to Mason across the middle, complete to the 39. No huddle on that play. Cam Cameron! Mason limps off slightly.

PLease don't let Mason be hurt.

He seems to be a early favroite target of Bollers.
