Center aims to soothe traffic (Baltimore Sun)
Mayor formally opens $2.9 million city facility Workers at the new Baltimore City Transportation Management Center can monitor city streets and adjust traffic signals to minimize congestion in case of accidents or special events. About 1,000 of the city's 1,300 traffic lights are hooked up. The $2.9 million city facility formally opened yesterday.
