It only hit his one hand as Clayton was reaching back for it.

But yeah, you prefer a better throw there from any QB. It's maybe more frustrating because it seems like both Minnesota QB's could make that throw tonight.

EDIT: JEESH!!! Even Brooks Bollinger can make these 19 yard throws!!

I guess my other problem is that Smith's line is this: 3/5 for 25 yards and 1 INT. Yes, Smith ran like the wind. But how in the world do you evaluate Troy Smith based on 5 passes in a whole half???

I have a feeling unless Boller just implodes, this QB competition may not be over yet and we'll have to go through this crap again next week.

    Vikes at the Ravens 47.
1st, overthrown on the screen, falls incomplete.
2nd, PA, Bollinger complete to the 29 for a first.

I realize that, BS -- I mentioned in my post that we had pass protection issues last week, too.

Vikings got to the 10 while I went downstairs.

Nakamura made a nice play to break up a completion. Vikes bobble the FG snap, and the Ravens will take over! Come on Ravens!

Re: GAME THREAD - Ravens/Vikes (Preseason)

1st, Boller checked down to Ross, and the ref wouldn't get out of the way and he could only get 2. Ridiculous.
2nd and 8, Ross up the middle for 1.
3rd and 7, Boller looks deep forever, rolls left, and then dumps to Bergen for about 3-4. No one open?
    Punt.

It's amazing how much of this shit happens to only us, isn't it? Refs tacking our players, bouncing field goals.

    Sigh..........................

Ronnie Prude playing his way off the roster.

How is it that even Brooks Bollinger can outplay both our potential starting QB's??

Sephy that was a horribly thrown ball. I watched it again. he threw it behind Clayton, who had to almost turn around.

He can definately run. But we need someone who can run and throw. The dude just can't throw consistently. Starting to remind me of Michael Vick. You can't run an offensive with 5 pass attempts the whole half.

And once again, our offensive line SUCKS!!!
Sephy starts the thread with TAroy is looking pretty good? Holy Bias batman...

I agree, HOARRIBLE throw on that pick.

I wouldn't even say he can definately run, besides the one big gain, he had several carries for virtually nothing. He certainly is no Tavaris Jackson... let alone Vince Young or Michael Vick...

5 pass attempts had to do with the fact that the coaches don't trust him to throw, they didn't even call pass plays. It was handoffs and play action naked bootlegs.

Another great play to prevent a catch by Martin. He has improved a lot.

Re: GAME THREAD - Ravens/Vikes (Preseason)

I agree Martin should be oru 4th outside CB at this point, thoguh Ivy may be better inside.
Walker and Prude should jsut get cut. Anwar Phillips is probaly better.

I'm not biased about anyone. He was looking good his first series. He wasn't after that. Settle down over there.

Re: GAME THREAD - Ravens/Vikes (Preseason)

Now wait jonboy. Sephy jumped in before the pick. It's not fair to hit him with the bias thing.

You want to talk BIAS. I swear Stan White is starting to highly annoy me. The pass to Yamon Figures that Smith threw high and got him killed on Stan called a good pass.

Sephy calls it down the middle. You have to give him that.

BTW, notice that Stan's been quiet since the pick?

Re: GAME THREAD - Ravens/Vikes (Preseason)

Not a great game all around for the Ravens. Getting beat like a drum with the pass, not having any success. Only Ray Rice is gonna be a happy camper after this one.

Re: GAME THREAD - Ravens/Vikes (Preseason)

I mean I didn't mean it that roughly, btu I didn't see him look good early either. He looked VERY poor, and it goes well beyond that pick.
Stan WHite is certainly a joke.
Thanks for the game log Sephy it is appreciated by many that can't view the game, I guess I have a different opinion of the early goings. That came out a bit harsh I suppose. I personally jsut feel that it's hard to look good with only a couple of pass attempts in multiple series, for three yards in a quarter and a half, which is about where you picked it up...
