Re: Mendenhall running his mouth
Yeah... that is all our D needs is yet MORE BB ammo as if we weren't fired up enough.
I'm guessing he'll have 2-3 fumbles...
He might get one of them back.Keeping the purple flowing way out on the West Coast!

Re: Mendenhall running his mouth
I think this one is being blown a little out of proportion. I have a feeling that Mendenhall was just having a some fun with his friend Ray Rice. But if it gives the boys some added motivation, all the better.

Oh I have no doubt it is all for fuin for everyone involved... but it still makes goor BB material.

Re: Mendenhall running his mouth
I don't think Ray would have hit Winslow any softer, but it could have added a little hot sauce to the hit.
Blocking and tackling matter a whole lot more than jibber jabber, and I give the Ravens a big edge so far this season.

Re: Mendenhall running his mouth
I think Mendenhall should be more focused on picking up blitzes and keeping Ben in the game more so then how many yards he will have running.
Recent history (past couple years) suggests it won't be alot of yardage.
Personally, I think the moron writer predicting a 35-10 drubbing is better bulletin board material and motivation.

Re: Mendenhall running his mouth
I think that Mendenhall may have gottena little intimidated once he found out the the whole defense knew what he said. He has every right to be intimidated by the Ravens D, who wouldnt be? But thats why I think he retracted his statement as a joke.

Re: Mendenhall running his mouth
Wasn't the broken shoulder a result of a Ray Lewis hit? Man, talk about hitting like a sledgehammer...

Sporting news just reported that Mendenhall is out for the year.
Pffffff! I trust wikipedia more than the NFL. If anyone would know football, it is clearly wikipedia.

Re: Mendenhall running his mouth
Awww...poor baby. Done for the year. Guess he'll have plenty of time to text now, huh. He and Kendall Simmons can keep each other company. I hate a loss, but it only took me about an hour to unwind last night (this morning) rather than sit up and stew for a couple of hours. I think this one falls under we may have lost the battle, but we'll win the war. They still got to come to our house.
Sick and tired of transplants. If Pissburgh is so great, carry your black-lung asses back there.

Re: Mendenhall running his mouth
Does anyone know if the injury was to his texting shoulder?

Re: Mendenhall running his mouth
I think he was taught a lesson in the big boy game called NFL football. DO NOT TALK SHIT TO THE #1 DEFENSE IN THE NFL..WHO HAPPENS TO HAVE RAY RAY AS DADDY OR YOU WILL END UP BROKEN (PUN INTENDED). I bet his rookie ass will not make that mistake again. He is sitting at home thinking" Damn it, if I had only kept my mouth shut (or fingers from typing) then maybe Ray Ray would not have pounded my ass 5 ft into the ground....damn my shoulder hurts!"
