Re: Men Against Boys
i wouldn't say we laid a steaming pile when we played Pitt or Tenn, this was a hard game to win just on the fact that it was our 3rd straight road game and we are playing without a bye, this team is doing one hell of job considering all the adversity it has been subject to.

Re: Men Against Boys
I can't be real upset about today.
The Giants are the best team in football. The team is coming off of Road game number three.
Playing against the best shows how much farther you have to go to truly be elite.
Your margin for error is small.
Next week is going to be important. You have to win at home.

Re: Men Against Boys
Damn that was tough to watch,
I had the added bonus of watching it with two friends who are both Giants "fans".
We got mauled, we didn't stop shit on D and our secondary looked crap. In saying that we had no lucky breaks and once that ball bounced off Masons helmet it was game over.
We've got to pick ourselves up and get ready for Eagles. Hopefully this will light a fire under some players asses and work to our advantage.

Re: Men Against Boys
I'm more ready to give kudos to the Giants than bad mouth the Ravens. The Giants are far more advanced than we are, their O Line is the best we have played all year and they came to play with their hard hats on. That is a VERY good team. They beat us at the line of scrimmage on both sides. That being said, for us to still be 6-4, with all the injuries and IR players we have, I'm still happy with what this team has done. They showed us how to play the game and I'm hoping we will learn from this.
Remember what happened 5 weeks ago when our asses got kicked. We won 4 straight

Re: Men Against Boys
The old adage that you never are as good as you look when you win or as bad as you look when you lose applies somewhat here.
The Giants outplayed us but still, the game turned on a few big plays:
Stovers low kick that changed the game from what should have been 7-3 to 13-0.
The weird bounce off Mason's helmet or pads that went back for an interception. They got 7 out of that and I think we would have probably gotten 3 out of that drive.
The Fabian Washington interception that was nullified by a neutral zone infraction.
Were the Giants the better team yesterday? Oh yeah, for sure.
On the 70 yard TD run by the Giants. We just missed that guy like 4 times in the backfield and just over the line of scrimmage.
Were they better by the 30-12 margin of victory? I don't think so. It could have been a close game without the bad breaks.
As far as the whole game being a case of men against boys? I don't think it was THAT one sided.

Re: Men Against Boys
I think what hurts the most is how much this game was played up on all of the networks and then we ended up having a very disappointing performance. I still have faith that we will get at least 2 more wins!

Re: Men Against Boys
I'm not upset by losing to the World Champions in there house, but I am concerned by how certain players reacted to playing in that volatile environment.
More on that later today in Heroes and Goats...

Re: Men Against Boys
The true character of any team (or individual) is how they react to adverse situations. It will be interesting to see who sucks it up after this loss, and gets after the Iggles. I expect this team to man up, and WON'T accept failure as an option next Sunday.
