Class Action Case against NFL !!!
OK .. I am not joking with this. This is not a publicity stunt... This is real!
We as fans have a simple contract with the NFL that we should have fair officiating of the games. The NFL violated that agreement today when they awarded a 1st down that was reviewed and should have been over turned.
We as fans need to take this matter seriously and we need to act to protect the level of play and the level of officiating that we expect when we purchase tickets to watch a NFL Game.
I need a show of support and we can have this case reviewed and ready for file !! I want this to be only fans based and NO (( I MEAN NO )) firm other then the filing Law Office should get any press other then the FANS and PSL Holders !
I would say that the minimum damage from the poor calls was the price of the game ticket! That alone should get the NFL in the pocket and make them think about the true fan!

Re: Class Action Case against NFL !!!
Count me in!!
There is supposed to be irrefutable evidence to overturn a call.
The spot was CLEARLY a poor spot, and the replay shows he did not make the first down. That is irrefutable evidence and the call should have been overturned!!
The ball NEVER broke the plane and there was no evidence otherwise. The call "on the field" should have stood as called!!
BITE ME NFL!!!!!!

Re: Class Action Case against NFL !!!
Guys and Girls... I will check this tomorrow and see how many people want to be in:
We need:
PSL Owners or Fans that Purchased Tickets and have the Ticket from the game only!
Once we have some support on this board, I will contact a Towson Lawyer to start our case.
We need to make this happen to show the NFL that we want FAIR games !!
I am not letting our team off the hook as they still needed to shut the Stiller Down .. I am just saying to the NFL that we as FANS want real calls!"It is not how you play the game that matters... It is Winning The Super Bowl that counts"... Rumor Ray

Re: Class Action Case against NFL !!!
Once we get support .. I will get David Preller in Towson to look at how we can move forward. He is also a PSL holder. If we have any Lawyers on the boards that would rather take this action and run with it !! Post now !! I am not looking for anything other then getting the NFL to pay us fans for the wrongful officiating ! If upon review of our PSL agreement we find we have no case then I guess the matter is mute.
But for now !! Baltimore will be heard from ..
Now like I said in other post .. The game that matters to beat the Stillers in is the AFC Championship Game !! Then we can make it the the Super Bowl and send the Stillers Home !!! Then we will hear .. but we beat you 2 times LOL But we can reply ... Well then you must have the RING to prove it then !! LOL
Let's send the NFL a message !"It is not how you play the game that matters... It is Winning The Super Bowl that counts"... Rumor Ray

Re: Class Action Case against NFL !!!
I didn't get to go to the game since I live 10 hours away.
I'm behind you 100% in this though. Something has to be done about the horrible officiating in the league right now. This is a novel I was asked to proofread. The author is giving 10% of the profits to kidney research, which is a big deal in the Darb household. Fair warning; it's a fantasy novel, and the main characters are lesbians. It's three bucks on kindle from Amazon.http://www.amazon.com/WINDOWS-BROKEN...ken+fairy+tale

Re: Class Action Case against NFL !!!
I really think that most teams (Chargers for example) also have claims and if this goes big time then maybe we even get money for the fans that do not have tickets. They purchase gear and watch the TV and that makes the NFL more money anyway!
We need to fight this one out! It will not change the outcome of the game ... but maybe it will keep it fair in the future!!"It is not how you play the game that matters... It is Winning The Super Bowl that counts"... Rumor Ray

Re: Class Action Case against NFL !!!
I'm in too !Yeah ! Let's file a lawsuit !
How about a lawsuit against the NFL for overhyping the supposed "great" Baltimore defense every year. You know , the "great" defense that gave up a 90 yard drive to lose the game. Maybe you should focus on that instead of TD that may or may not have been an inch short. The 89 and 7/8 yards given up before that should just be ignored because afterall, this defense is "great "

Re: Class Action Case against NFL !!!
Hey guys, I'm a Raiders fan. I set up an account just to give my sympathies to you all. I wasn't pulling for either team, but you guys got screwed. I couldn't believe that first down call, but I didn't really get pissed until the touchdown call. I already think Walt Coleman has a special place in hell for the Tuck Rule game, but this just confirms it.

Re: Class Action Case against NFL !!!
Please note... DO NOT RESPOND TO THE STILLER FANS that try to get into the thread to say it was our D that lost the game. Sure I already said that we needed the Stillers stopped on the last drive out of FG range to win the game and that was our team that did not hold them off.
However I will respond to the 1st down that gave them 3 points:
The ball was in the arms of the player and the player never made it past Ray Lewis! Ray was on the first down marker and that is 100% clear in all replays!
Total 100% BS !!! The TD like I said was 50/50, however I do not think it should have been overturned. The game should have went into OT and let them play it out with out the Refs!"It is not how you play the game that matters... It is Winning The Super Bowl that counts"... Rumor Ray

Re: Class Action Case against NFL !!!
The problem with those calls today are it isnt cut and dry or black/white. The "1st down' did look short....but in the replay you cant see the ball, only the players and the assumption of where the ball is, unfortunately thats not enought to overturn, and call on the field stands, same with the TD, its soooo close that the nose of the ball is touching that "imaginary" line....its a subjective call....I didnt think it went across but it wasnt blatantly obvious it wasnt in.
We lost the game cuz we couldnt punch it in the endzone on 3 tries we had down their end, and couldnt stop them on the last drive.....its sucks...but thats it......now we got a beat a surging cowboys team away next week....and hope the pats and dolphins lose.Season ticket holder since 1996 Section 148 Tailgate Lot H

Re: Class Action Case against NFL !!!
I typically take the "Oh, well... it is what it is" attitude toward suspect calls, but I have watched replay after replay of that phantom TD, and I can NOT see where the ball breaks the plane. Watched it on the jumbo tron, watched it on line in slow motion... can not see it. Fuck it... officiating blew this one. Would it have changed the ultimate outcome of the game? Can't say, but it should have gone to OT.
I'm normally not a praying man, but if you're up there, please save me Superman!

Re: Class Action Case against NFL !!!
I have been saying this for years.
It is one thing when an official misses a call, but when it gets reviewed and turns against you twice in one game and once last week, something isn't right.
I think back to the Cleveland game with the field goal called good on the field, game over, not reviewable, and they get on the phone, go in the booth and reverse it.
You could start the case with the bullshit expansion bidding, where the two best packages are not taken in lieu of Jacksonville and Carolina.
Count me the fuck in, or if you just want to storm the main office in New York, I'll burn the fucker down. I really won't burn anything, it just sounded good.

Re: Class Action Case against NFL !!!
...and people think the Rooney rule was a provision to hire minority coaches? Total bull, reality says the Rooney rule indicates any owner with serious NFL clout gets the benefit of any close call, never was it more apparent than the game yesterday. I'll quote Phil Simms "I don't even think his helmet reached the first down marker".

Re: Class Action Case against NFL !!!
For ball spotting they should have a sensors in each nose of the ball and GPS tracking or whatever to pinpoint the point of the ball. They do it in Tennis, its time to do it in the NFL.
Old men with fading eyes, trying to look through a wave of flying bodies and mayhem at 100 mph just doesn't cut it anymore.Put the smile back on your face. This is a 60 minute ball game.
