Re: GAME THREAD - Ravens/Chiefs - Season opener!

    1st, LJ trips, loses 1.
Chiefs have a total of -5 yards.
2nd and 11, Croyle pumps, hits LJ, gets 5 or 6. They might be in positives!
3rd and 5, Bradley catches, and forced OOB RIGHT at the marker by Foxworth. Will take a measurement.
Its short! Wow - poor awareness by Bradley.

Reed deep to return. Unsure why. Here we go, lol.

Another stellar punt, Reed gets to the 21 but flags all over the place - gonna be on us.

Re: GAME THREAD - Ravens/Chiefs - Season opener!

Why in the world is Reed returning punts. I know he's great at it but we need him on defense.

Also, why in the world can we not return a punt without a penalty?
This is a novel I was asked to proofread. The author is giving 10% of the profits to kidney research, which is a big deal in the Darb household. Fair warning; it's a fantasy novel, and the main characters are lesbians. It's three bucks on kindle from Amazon.http://www.amazon.com/WINDOWS-BROKEN...ken+fairy+tale

13 years of the baltimore ravens, and still utterly unable to return a kick or a punt without a holding or block in the back penalty.

1st from the 8 - Willis bounces left and then gets hit for a loss. Maybe no gain.

First quarter ends - 10-0 Ravens. If we can get this past midfield, or even points on this drive, its disaster for the Chiefs.

2nd and 9, I guess they gave him 1, 6 OL in, play action - deep for Clayton who was 1 on 1 with Leggett but hadn't beaten him - goes incomplete.
3rd, Flacco scrambles for 11, but a flag is down. Holding on Gaither.
    3rd and like, 15 I guess.

3rd and 14 actually, Flacco throws away and gets called for grounding. Gonna be a safety. Fouls by BOTH TEAMS. They offset!

Chiefs fumble the punt, Ravens inches from falling on it - but the Chiefs get it at the 30.

    Outstanding punt by Koch.

    1st, LJ for 2.
2nd and 8, Thigpen is in at QB, designed draw for 3.
3rd and 5, toss to Charles, Ravens D looks incredibly fast - Carr on the stop - no gain.

Carr calls a fair catch at the 10 or 11. Why, exactly? He had plenty of room and a blocker. Sigh.

I do miss Jim Leonard for his PR skills.

    1st, Raymell for 4 or 5 yards.
2nd and 5, right to Mason on the sideline but uncharacteristically dropped.
3rd and 5, complete to Rice as an unblocked blitzer comes in - gains 1. Punt time.

1st, complete to Rice for about 10. Looks like they're gonna spot it short. Nope - a first.
