Hey, NFL Nation, Ravens QB Joe Flacco is here! In case you missed it, Joe starred in one of our cool Fantasy Files spots this summer, and fans voted it their favorite. After today’s chat, you can go back and watch that video – and you can also enter to be the star of the next Fantasy Files video! Check it out here.
So, Joe, before we get to the fans’ questions, how did filming that Fantasy Files video prepare you for your big Week 1 performance against the Chiefs?

Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens
Thanks! That kinda stuff is always fun. I've been doing it my whole life. I just go out and prepare hard every week for the games.

Did you really hit those clay pigeons on that commercial or was it all digital? Either way i thought it was pretty cool. Good luck this season
Joe_flacco_hs_09_40x55
Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens
Thanks, Ernie. I'll leave it up to your imagination. Do you think I'm good enough to hit the pigeons, or do I need the computer-generated help?

Mark, Baltimore

Hey Joe! What has been the biggest adjustment you've had to make between your rookie year last season and coming into this season?
Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens
Hi Mark. I think I did a lot of adjustng throughout last year. This season I'm more comfortable with everything, just trying to make the best use of my time and get ready for Sundays. I'm at the point where I'm pretty comfortable with my schedule.

Hello Mr. Flacco big fan! I was just wondering if you still drive your grandmother's 1990 volvo?
Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens
No, Victor. I got rid of that a while ago. Now I drive a Chevy Tahoe.

Rob, Baltimore
11:33 AM ET
Joe, we love you here in baltimore. I just wanted to say thanks for playing hard every week we appreciate it. Do you think the ravens have the opportunity to evolve into one of the league's top offenses this year?
Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens
Thanks, Rob! We sure feel the same way here, we just have to go out each week and do what we did last Sunday. We'll go out this week and play hard against San Diego and we'll try to do that all year.

Joe you're the best! Do you know if this game means anything special to Cam Cameron, being that he was the former Offensive Coordinator of the Chargers, and does he have any special insight into this game? Thanks!
Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens
Zoo, I'm sure it means something special to him. I know when we played Miami last year it meant something extra to him. We'll go into San Diego and give it our best chot to get a win for him.

Joaquin, Miami
11:36 AM ET
What’s in your Ipod playlist?
Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens
Joaquin, I haven't had an ipod for that long -- so I only have a few songs in there, just what my brother downloaded for me. Couple of Seether songs, couple of Incubus songs.
Dan, Mexico
11:37 AM ET
Do you believe Mark Sánchez and Matthew Stafford could match both your success and Matt Ryan’s success in his rookie season?
Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens
Dan, I think those guys have a good shot to be good quarterbacks. They have the opportunity to have success individually, but it also depends on how their teams perform. The biggest factor is winning games, so it depends on what kind of teams the Jets and Lions develop into.
Dave, Bethesda, MD
11:39 AM ET
Joe, I can see that you have built quite a rapport with all of your receivers which is awesome, but especially with Mason since now he is always introducing you to the press for your interviews. Do you think you will start returning the favor???
Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens
Funny, Dave. I don't know if I have that personality. Derrick started that last year and he's keeping it a tradition. He has fun with it. I go on every Wednesday and then I usually have to go aside and do something else when Derrick talks to the media, so I'm not always there to do it.
alex garcia, san jose, CA
11:43 AM ET
how is it playing against the steelers? is polamalu always a distraction? do u always try to avoid throwing his way? i always enjoy watching u guys play against each other, my favorite games of the year.
Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens
Yeah, Alex, playing against the Steelers is a lot of fun. It's a pretty good rivalry and there's a lot of respect on both sides. There are things during the game that Polamalu does and you always have to figure out where he is. You have to try to control him and not let him control you.
Lanny, Winnipeg, Canada
11:45 AM ET
Congratulations on the big game week 1. I'm a huge Ravens fan and I have to say I am totally impressed with your all-around game and team skills. I would like to know which QB you grew up watching and emulating...any funny stories? Thanks and good luck. Go Ravens!
Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens
Thanks, Lanny. No funny stories. I didn't get to watch Joe Montana too much as a kid, but I always wanted to grow up and play like Joe Montana. Guys like Montana and Dan Marino were already late in their careers when I started watching and really understanding football, but they were great ones to watch.
Michael, Baltimore
11:47 AM ET
Hey Joe, I was wondering how you feel about your brother getting drafted by the Orioles? You think he has a legit shot to make the big leagues in few seasons? Also, were you two surprised that he got drafted by the O's?
Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens
Michael, he had a pretty good workout with those guys, so I'm not too surprised. I'm excited and my whole family is excited. For a late-round pick, he's got a shot at making it up to the big leagues in a couple of years. He's a good athlete, a big kid who can hit the ball real weel. We'll see where he's at in a couple of years.
jasen, tampa
11:49 AM ET
hey joe, u WERE a free agent on my fantasy team league until i picked u up...if u can promise me a great game i will bench hasselbeck and have u as my starter....what do ya say man ?
Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens
Obviously I think you should start me! I think I did pretty well last week. But it's up to you -- you have to go with what you think and stick with it. But I can tell you we're going to play hard and have a good game on offense.
Patrick, SD
11:41 AM ET
Im going to the ravens-chargers game on sunday and im a chargers fan so i was wondering if you could throw some extra picks to cromartie for me. thanks!
Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens
Sorry, Patrick. I'm going to do my best to stay away from throwing those interceptions. Those guys are pretty good. But I'm going to try to throw some touchdowns instead of interceptions!

Joe , Baltimore
11:51 AM ET
Hey Joe, How do you feel that the young offensive line is developing? Any thoughts on Michael Oher?
Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens
Joe, our o-line has been good for a while now. They played very well last year and they've been great this preseason and the first game. The thing about Mike is that he plays aggressively, and as long as he continues to do that he'll do a good job for us.
Steve, Eagle, Idaho
11:51 AM ET
Hey Joe, Is there any particular fan that you could call "The Greatest Ravens Fan"?
Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens
Steve, We have alot of great fan's here in Baltimore, But I'd have to say that Marcel B. of Ravens24x7.com's forum site is probably the top guy here.
Jake, El Paso Texas
11:52 AM ET
Whats Ray Lewis like? Is he a good friend kinda guy?
Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens
Jake, Ray is pretty cool. He's a relaxed guy in the locker room during the week and he turns it on on Sundays. Definitely a great guy to have in the locker room.
Ryan Rudzinski, Marylan
11:53 AM ET
Joe, my fiancé never liked football before, but now she wears a Wacko4Flacco t-shirt all the time. What do you think of the saying?
Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens
Ryan, I like it. It's meant to be a good thing, so I'm all for it. You should ask your fiance why she's wearing a wacko for flacco shirt, though! Just kidding.
Romano, Baltimore, MD
11:54 AM ET
With all due respect given to your current WR's out of all the off season/pre season chatter did you get excited about any particular WR rumor coming to baltimore? if so who...
Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens
No, Romano, I tried not to pay ant attention to that stuff. we'd have been glad to have anyone who came in. But I'm very comfortable with the guys we have and I think they showed what they can do with the game in KC.
Mike, Boston
11:56 AM ET
Hey whats up Joe? I was wondering if theres anything you know heading in to your 2nd year that you wish you knew last year?
Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens
Good question, Mike. I don't know. I'm sure there's a bunch. The biggest thing this year is just realizing even more that it's football and you need to be relaxed and as confident as possible. It's easier to do that this year. I was confident last year, but there are always things you're not sure about. Anytime you do things for the second time around, you see thngs a little better and can get more comfortable.
Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens
Okay, gotta run guys. Thanks for the questions! Had a great time. Hope you enjoy the rest of the day, and hope you enjoy the game Sunday against San Diego.
