    We dont have any.
Joe is doing pretty damn good with the receivers he has. I think a bigger mre physical corner is needed more than a WR.

Obviously Harrison was using a little hyperbole there, and yes the strip and score of Eddie George is probably the best ever. Much more on the line at that point than today.

But there have been MANY many other great plays along the way from Ray, we all know that.

That run stop and blast at the end of the Charger's last drive was just freaking epic. That's just incredible.

And to me, I'll still never forget the Field Goal return against Denver where Ray Lewis demolished Keith Burns and C-Mac returned the ball 108 yards. I was at that game, it was awesome.

Re: Ray all over the place

I think Ray's best play today was bringing down Sproles 1 on 1 in the flat down by the goalline.

The highlight tackle that ended the game will live on in Baltimore lore for generations.

As a child, I'd watch Michael Jordan on tv and wonder what it would be like if he played for MY team. Since then I've spent each Sunday for 14 years watching Ray Lewis, and I no longer have to wonder.

    Like Jordan.

    The greatest of all times.

Ray thought it was one of the best plays of his career:

" I read it. It ' s either I make or they make it. I took a risk and I shot (the gap), " said Lewis, in his 14th season. " That was probably one of the greatest plays of my career. "

Yeah he said that on the MASN postgame show.

He gave a looong interview ( Ray never shys away when things go right that's for sure) where he explained exactly how he read it and knew what Sproles was going to do.

    Ray Lewis was awesome yesterday.
Season ticket holder since 1996. Section 124 rocks!

  11. Re: Ray all over the place

He can still show his greatness at times and yesterday was a prime example.

Name a better MLB in the league right now.

    WOW! WOW! WOW! WOW!......WOW!

Well to say that some of you folks are fickle is really misstating the truth. 4 months ago most of you up in this thread were trying to run ray out of town because of a few sound bytes and a few lousy dollars.

looks like MFin Crazy wasn't so fuckin Crazy after all. Ray is still the fuckin man.

    LETS GO RAY!!!
WOW! I feel so fortunate that the Ravens did what they had to do to make this happen. Thank you. My Heart is with the Raven....My Heart is with Baltimore and its great fans. What can I say. Here We Go!!! --Ray Lewis
    No, Thank you Ray...

Only one who I'd put at his level is Patrick Willis, who has really turned San Fran's defense around and has that "all over the field" quality to him. If he played in a major market, the entire national media would be swinging from his nuts.

Ray showed yesterday that he's still our heart and soul.

yeah, you beat me to it. willis isn't as good as ray was in his prime, but right now they are probably about equal...on the field. off the field, no one will ever be able to touch ray for what he brings to a football team.

O'Yeah don't forget about the QB pressure that caused the pick by Laundry. He looked fast on that play

Merril Hoge is breaking it down on Sportscenter right now, replay at 2pm if you want to see it at the 34 minute mark.

Said that the Chargers expected Ray to come over the top of the play and not shoot the gap like he did, but Ray saw their "power" play on tape and knew it was coming. He said yes someone should have blocked him, but again they did not expect him to come flying up the middle they thought he would go on top and around the outside to stop the play.

    Unreal.

Yeah I saw that too. Merril also said that is Rivers had studied more tape he would have know that when Ray blitzs he times it with the QB going under center. He should have stood back up, pointed Ray out to the linemen.

I agree. I like Willis a lot but he hasn't won yet. Though with Samurai Mike at the helm that could be changing.
