Re: GAME THREAD - Ravens/Bengals
Palmer had ALL DAMN DAY, and finally Henry got open deep.
1st and goal from the 4, Palmer scrambles around, and the ball is dropped by his man.
2nd, Palmer forced to call TO.

Re: GAME THREAD - Ravens/Bengals
I was sure that PI on the offense. Looked like Henry pushed off.
But no DB can cover when you get no pressure on the QB. Carson had forever to decide where to go."It is an undeniable and may I say fundamental quality of man that when faced with extinction, every alternative is preferable." —Leonard Church

Re: GAME THREAD - Ravens/Bengals
Looked like Dom thought he was going out of bounds.. but he sure didn't.
The pass rush is way more of a problem than the DBs. Palmer had at least 6-7 seconds to find Henry there. Ridiculous.

Re: GAME THREAD - Ravens/Bengals
This pass defense is just horrid.
I've tried to reason it away, but they just don't get the job done at all whenever they face an offense with a quality QB. I don't expect them to completely shut them down, but I don't expect the opposing team to completely have their way in the air.

Re: GAME THREAD - Ravens/Bengals
2nd and goal from the 4, Palmer gets plenty of time, the only man near him was Pryce, but he was there the whole time, ends up throwing it away.
3rd and goal, Palmer blitzed and SACKED by RAY AND JJ!
HUGE STAND

Re: GAME THREAD - Ravens/Bengals
Nice play there. Nice blitz, JJ right down the middle.

Re: GAME THREAD - Ravens/Bengals
Way to hold defense in the red zone. Finally some pressure.

Re: GAME THREAD - Ravens/Bengals
Another bad snap by the Bengals LS. Gus said it was good, but it almost went behind the holder!
7-3 Ravens.
I think the only bad thing Foxworth did on the coverage was not recognize he didn't go OOB or drop the ball - Palmer is just getting WAY too much damn time. Coles, Henry, and Chad are gonna get open eventually if he's dancing around back there for 6+ seconds.

Re: GAME THREAD - Ravens/Bengals
Next year, a big time edge pass rusher has to be the priority for the offseason.
Has to be.
Suggs can't do it all on his own and Pryce and JJ aren't edge guys although Mattison seems determined to play them there.

Kick is booted to the back of the endzone, Webb kneels.

Re: GAME THREAD - Ravens/Bengals
I've been saying there's room for improvement on that passrush, and it's true, but it's good to see that stand. Hopefully it gives the guys some added confidence.

Re: GAME THREAD - Ravens/Bengals
1st, give to Rice on the cutback for 5.
2nd and 5, Rice gets hit, just no hole there. Gets 1, though.
3rd and 4, Clayton motioned into the backfield, draw to Rice only gets 2.
Now that's just WAY too conservative.
Terrible punt by Koch goes OOB at the 40.

Bad punt after the quick 3 and out.
Not liking this at all.
