Anyone else sick of Mark Zinno?

#1 I don't like his style, it seems like he tries so hard to take the opposite side of the fans in Baltimore. If the fans are hard on the coaches, he blames the players, and vice versa. This is not all that uncommon amongst sports hosts, but he is too predictable. One example is telling people that its fine for the Colts to take our records and for Unitas to be in the INDY colts HOF section.

#2 I don't like that it is a loudmouth Yankees fan saying these things. If it was from a red-blooded Baltimorean like Rob Long then I can put up with a LOT of shit.

Sometimes Jim Rome takes the day off, and I do like to hear Mike Preston on Mondays and Fridays. Otherwise, I try not to.

Zinno is an egotistical windbag who comes off as a friggin' know it all yet knows very little. He benefits from broadcasting with nitwits like Cunningham and Marks.

The slappy actually said that Chad Henne will be a much better pro than Joe Flacco.

One thing that kills me about him and Marks is that they openly talk about the sports wagers they make on the radio. Unless they are flying to Vegas every week then those bets are illegal. It would be interesting if someone from the IRS was listening and wanted to investigate the potential of unclaimed gambling income.

You could write a book, or a collection of books, about the stupid shit Zinno has said. He is a complete tool who knows very little about sports.

Then the IRS would have to go after the other 30 million people in this country who gamble on the internet.

Zinno doesn't really bother me. He is a decent speaker and the abrasive stuff is good for conversation. I think he could do better than radio though. He is a decent looking guy, I'm surprised a TV job hasn't opened up for him.

Radio is usually reserved for neckbearded little trolls like that guy Mickey. Great conversationalist, but if you had to look at him for four hours you probably wouldn't have much of an appetite at lunch time.

OMG if anyone heard Zinno today it was hilarious. Haney made a "turnip truck" reference and Zinno just had no clue what he was talking about. He said "wait....what is a turnip truck?" What are you talking about? In thr background as Haney talked. Haney just kind of blew him off and kept talking about something else, but Zinno just wouldn't let it go. He was like really offended and tried to talk over Bob again saying "what are you talking about with this turnip truck???? I don't know what that is??" Haney FINALLY told him it was just a saying, and Zinno just still had no clue.

I thought it was funny that this guy with a masters degree had never heard of one of the more common expressions of all time. He was mad too that his didn't know what it was LOL....really mad. I think when I was 5 I knew what that meant.

How about you just stop listening if you don't like him?

It is clear Zinno thinks he is smarter than the fans. He seems to have a dim view of the Baltimore fans and is clearly happy when a caller or topic takes him back to his roots. I dislike listening to someone who does not seem to think that his view can ever be wrong.

I appreciatte his service and understand why 105.7 felt compelled to bring him back but he is obnoxious and self serving.

No apology needed at all. Took no offense to it at all.

I pointed that out just to try an illustrate is isn't just another guardsman and that's he has risen rather fast and successfully.

    No worries, Shas.

Tell me the behind the scenes reasons why all these people were "fired" as you claim, or just didn't have their contracts renewed when it was time.

Haney was asked to take a huge pay cut and so was every other one. They said adios not happening because I can get way more right down the street from CBS.

Most of the issues came right back to money, which then turned to a "respect" factor, which led to arguments and the hosts leaving or fired or whatever the hell you want to call it.
OK, so it "came right back to money" and they all were "asked to take a huge paycut", but NST isn't floundering?

So, if not, then why was all of the on-air talent - that had loyal followings - asked to take "huge paycuts"?
