Oh the irony. Corey Ivy Signs with the Steelers.

    How funny is this?

What is funny is that they cut cornerback Keiwan Ratliff to make room for him.

What is this? Bring a former Raven to M&T Bank Stadium month?

I still have nightmares of #35 trailing the ball carrier. Seriously, how many times can you remember him "covering" someone, only to get lost, and end up chasing after his man...

I hope he plays early and often on Sunday!

He can't be any worse than our current backups. At least he isn't good for a PI call on each long pass like Walker.

They must have seen something they liked in him to release another corner to bring him in.

He isn't. He did a passable job as a nickel/dime back. It was when you had to put him on a main WR that of course he couldn't do much.

I like Ivy. I see this as more of a special teams move than a CB one. They are terrible on coverage and he is a very good open field tackler. He has had a lot of practice chasing guys down after giving up a catch along with years of special teams solid play. If he could cover the Ravens would have kept him, and so would the Clowns or Jets or someone before now.

    This.

The Steelers can't cover kicks to save their lives.

Is this just a "bring him in for the defensive calls" signing?

I kinda doubt it, since the Ravens have a new coordinator on defense and I'm pretty sure they've made some changes since last season.

Like others posted, its probably more to help shore up the kicking coverage.

How about some more irony, the Steeler's signed a third string QB, Tyler Palko...
