My guess is that whichever team has the ball first will set the tempo for this game. Conversely, whoever has the ball last will probably win this game.

I swear, if this team comes out and plays like they did against Green Bay a few Monday nights ago, I'm gonna blow a gasket!

Ok guys, here we go. You can say "Mathmatically, yada yada", but we know what is at stake here. This is a "win or go home" for the Ravens. I'm calling this a must-win.

Dan Fouts may have said it best. Pittsburgh better be ready for a big bowl of Rice!

Crowd still mighty thin in the upper deck, and plenty of seats in the lower bowl. Hmm.

    From the 28.

1st, Ben gets pressure immediately up the middle, chased, throws away.
2nd, slant to Ward for 11 and a first. safety covering him didn't cover that route.

1st, Mendenhall stays up for awhile, but only gets 2 or 3. Good concentration. Carr came in late trying for a strip.
2nd and 7, Mendenhall gets a big hole through the middle and gets 7. Foster blocked Ellerbe well.

1st, straight drop, another comeback to Ward for another first down. Gotta cover those short routes on him.

i'm not worried yet...the key is we're making them tough it out. short routes, tough runs...make them earn every inch. We'll adjust...

1st from the Ravens 38, Mendenhall bottled up, bounces right, and ends up losing 1. Ngata held on the play - no call.
2nd and 11, PA, Kruger held approaching Ben, steps up, overthrows Mendenhall.
3rd and 11, Ravens bring a big blitz, doesn't hit, but overthrows Wallace who had very soundly beaten Walker. Ben is beating himself, so far.

Fair catch by Carr at the 12-13.

Here we go offense. Joe, Ray go down and get a TD.

Oh thank goodness. Frank Walker was beat yet again by a receiver.

So lets see. So far Chris Carr and Frank Walker are playing exactly as you figure they would. The Steelers let that one go.
