Welcome, welcome! Hopefully this thread marks the kickoff of a big run for the Ravens. Will they take out the Pats and move onto Indy to continue the payback tour? Be here at 1 and take it in with us here in the friendly confines of 24x7.
See you in an hour and a half, and GO RAVENS!!!!

Gooden will play today.
Cundiff hitting his kicks well from 40-50 in warmups. Hit a 53 yarder.

Re: GAME THREAD - Wild Card edition - Ravens/Pats
We need a good fast start to make me feel better. I can't get over this bad feeling.
Suggs needs to earn that 65 mil , and Cam needs to do more than run the ball 2 downs every series open.
Come on Ravens. Prove me wrong today!!!

Gooden on D only helps, but to me, Ellerbe is playing better. I hope they stick with Ellerbe and just rotate Gooden in now and again.

Stinger: I agree with the "bad" feeling, but maybe we just don't want to get our hopes up!
Also, we NEED to run the ball and just pound them over and over all game! It may be their strength but it is OUR strength. I hope we man-up and just shove it down their throats.

Their secondary is pretty bad too though. Hopefully we can get the run game going, then go with some play action and exploit some of their weakness at CB.

We will know early on what Cam's plan for today is going to be....We have been run heavy but we all know that Cam is capable of going against what some of us feel is the strength of the team.

Re: GAME THREAD - Wild Card edition - Ravens/Pats
I really hope Harbaugh and Flacco aren't too proud to sit Flacco if his injury is so limiting that we start suffering on offense...
If Joe can stand in the pocket and make all the throws, then he should stay out there. But if he can't, I'd rather have Troy Smith go out and play "safe" in the passing game, that way Smith can take off and run if our protection breaks down.
Given how he's looked to just about everyone in warmups, it's a push on whether he can survive the whole game.
