Baltimore trip 2010!
It's now confirmed that there is to be no second NFL game in 2010. Be in no doubt that the Ravens were involved in the negotiations for that game.
Now we move on to the trip for 2010. Tania and I are going over - subject to the schedule giving us a 'good match'. I've said that much as I would love to make a Steelers
game - but it's not an environment I'm willing to expose Tania to for her first gig.
If you want to go on a combined trip this season lets put some ideas down now. September will come soon enough!!!!"We ain't stinking Redskins fans in this Town sonny!"

Re: Baltimore trip 2010!
The dates me and Katie are looking at are September 18th to 28th. The reason being it's that falls just after Katie finishes Uni so we're not cutting too far into potential earnings.
I've already looked at hotels and flights and can get a 3 star hotel and flights for me and her for ten nights, coming in at £1500.
Obviously we're waiting for the schedule to come out but barring the two Sundays between these dates being road games or a bye week then we are all set.

I'm more than likely out again this year and certainly can't commit to anything this far in advance. Shall see how finances and work are looking closer to the time.

Re: Baltimore trip 2010!
As ever the fixture list, getting tickets & money will be the hurdles to overcome.

If it comes to it, then we have enough experienced members to do two trips. All you really have to do is get a flight / hotel / match tickets. Problem is that it's the rest that makes it great

Re: Baltimore trip 2010!
Well, I knew that I couldn't afford the trip this year, but something else has come up now...
I've been given the chance to spend the summer in Boston, working for 8-10 weeks and then travelling around the states. Given that I won't be returning until September, I may well be able to see the 1st Ravens regular season game!
If not, I suppose a pre-season matchup will give me my first taste of Baltimore, to be followed up the year after hopefully.
When do the fixture lists come out?

Re: Baltimore trip 2010!
Schedule comes out mid-late April I think. Myself and Katie are looking at the first 3-4 weeks of the season so that could tie in with when your over - I'll keep you posted.
My dream scenario currently is:
Week 1: Home opener;
Week 2: Home game/Jets,Patriots or Panthers on the road.
If that happens.....

Re: Baltimore trip 2010!
I'm just waiting on a few details to be confirmed with Katie and then I'm all set to book 10 days from the 10th to 20th of September. Which means we'd be there for the first 2 games of the season and in Baltimore for my birthday! Really tied into these dates because any later and Katie won't be able to start her job until October.
I did hear a wee rumour that ESPN have requested the Steelers in Baltimore for Week 1 MNF. Now, I didn't want Katie's first game to be a Steelers one but theres no way I'm passing up the chance to go to a Steelers game if thats the way the schedule falls.

The release of the schedule will be the starting gun on this one.

Re: Baltimore trip 2010!
The schedule is the key for if it becomes a trip for everyone indeed. Katie and myself are definately going to be over there for weeks 1 and 2 of the season. That's absolutely confirmed now.

Re: Baltimore trip 2010!
Right thats me and Katie booked up. As I said we're tied in to the first two weeks of the season regardless of the schedule so we just got it booked now. Fly out on the 10th of September (Friday) and stay for 11 nights, flying back on Tuesday the 21st. Staying at the Mount Vernon Hotel, 8 blocks from Camden Yards.
Total cost for the two of us: £1400 through Expedia.
Now lets just hope the schedule goes in our favour. Otherwise I'll just go to a pub and watch them surrounded by purple!

Re: Baltimore trip 2010!
Hopefully we do get at least one home game and a few more of you guys are out for it. And I'm praying for Ravens-Steelers. We'd need to get our songwriting hats on:

If you think Big Bens a rapist clap your hands (Clap, clap)
If you think Big Bens a rapist, you know he is a rapist
If you think Big Bens a rapist clap your hands (Clap, clap)
Not aimed at Bens Mortimer or Stockwell of course.

Re: Baltimore trip 2010!
I have this feeling we are going to be opening that brand new Jets/Giants stadium on MNF. They flipped a coin and the Giants won and play Sun. Consolation prize is the Jets get MNF. How could you not pick the Ravens for this grand opening??? Way too many connections between the teams. They aren't going waste it on NE. They will use that gem for later. Sad part is my buddy has 4 Jets tickets. I am getting two of them for the Ravens unless we go there week 1. He has to take family. BULLSHIT! No he don't. My opinion anyway.
I wonder if I got 2 tickets and offered 1 to Gordon, would he ditch Katie and go with me???
Here is a look at the 2010 New York Jets schedule.Their home games include games against the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Houston Texans, Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings.
I guess this has something to do with baseball?? Found this on a blog:
steelers owner already said it won't be them because they have to play on the road in weeks 2 & 3 already... NFL would never make them start the year with 3 straight road games.
