Who do you take at 25 if?

The Sun did they're mock draft and they have us taking Gresham, they also threw out a interesting scenerio and i'd like to see what you guys think. I personally think Gresham will go to Cincy at 21, suppose that happens and other guys we see as good options like Wilson, Price, and Odrick are gone and nobody wants to trade up. Would you take Mccourty, Robinson or Jackson at 25? If not them then who?

It would be between McCourty and Jackson, and I prefer Jackson.

McCourty is a pretty explosive athlete who could also help in the return game, but I like the cover skills Jackson brings to the table. If he would have stayed in school for another year, he would have a real good shot at being the first corner taken in the 2011 draft.

I would prefer these two over Robinson, but any of the three would be reaches at 1:25. In order for all the guys you have listed to be off the board, there would have to be some other player that would fall into our laps.

I really don't know. The only guy I have any opinion on is McCourty because I watched a few Rutgers games this year and liked his attitude and level of play. Everything else is hearsay from draft websites and youtube "highlight" videos, none of which are enough to make me any kind of expert on any given player.

Probably not, especially considering who I have been eyeing in round 2.

Do you have any of Brian Price/Dan Williams/Earl Thomas/Carlos Dunlap/Sergio Kindle/Rolando McClain left on the board?

Sergio Kindle....i have him at 26 to Arizona and i had previously had Bay Bay to us at 25 then changed to Odrick but now i'd rather get a corner

    Price at 20 to Houston
Thomas at 12 to Miami(i know its high, debating changing that lol)
Williams at 15 to New York
    Mcclain at 11 to Denver
    Dunlap at 24 to Philly

Re: Who do you take at 25 if?

In that mock Thomas is still available.

CB is a very high value position, but it is another one that I am not sure how big the gap is between the 1st and 3rd round guys this year. I really like Ghee, Robinson, Cox. There are a lot of guys who look like they can play and be a steal like Webb. Awansu of IUPI or whatever his name is may be the best CB in the class.

I am starting to think any DL player with pass rush potential like Tyson could be a good value pick at 25 no matter what the mock drafts say. Tyson Jacskon jumped all the way up to #3 last year.

Cody also may not look like a need or may be a reach or whatever, but his game tape is great even if his body fat is not. Putting him at NT even just on 1st and 2nd downs could mean a fresh and fast front 4 on passing downs. He really is a lot like Nagta as a prospect or Vince Wilfork. Getting guys in shape or to play hard has not been much of an issue here either and I can not forget how the big guy blocked 2 FGs to keep Bama on track for the national title. I want winners.

Kindle would probably be the pick, especially is Kyle Wilson is off the board too. Ozzie would go after Gresham before Odrick too.

Re: Who do you take at 25 if?

I think Odrick would be a great fit here, I'd rate him over most of the other names listed here as "possibles".
    Gresham
    Kindle
    the second tier corners
    Cody
    Thomas
I too like McCourty and Jackson over Robinson and Cox. I think most of the solid corner options will be gone by the early third, and that includes sketchy-ish players like Ghee, Warren and the small school guy.

If the first two picks aren't CB/Passrusher in some order I sincerely hope we trade back and accumulate picks. I'd be very disappointed if we miss out on one of the top options at those positions.

Re: Who do you take at 25 if?

In this scenerio i'd probably just take Mccourty or Jackson, Then in the 2nd id take Alualu, Pitta or Gronkowski. If i took Alualu in the 2nd i'd try to use those 2 5th's to get into the 4th to take a shot at getting a TE like Mccoy, Dickson, etc.

Do we have 3 5th's or two?

I like most of those you list... but also feel we could get a TE in the 5th. If we miss out on guys liek McCoy and Peek, I would be sattisfied with Hoomanawanui or Tony Moaeki

    1st Round
Terrance Cody Alabama DT 6-4 350

I think the Ravens are considering Mt. Cody and here is why.
Goose and Adams where in the middle during their Superbowl.
Cody and Ngata in the middle stops the run cold and allows JJ, Suggs, Pryce and Kruger to get after the the QB. This should improve the pass rush as both Cody & Ngata could command double teams ala the Vikings DL with the Williams tackles.

    2nd Round
    Chris Cook Virginia 6-2 212 CB/FS

Serves two needs. Plays corner until Webb and/or Washington return. Big press corner to cover the Vince Jackson type wideouts. Also, if or when Reed retires can be future FS.

Sorry typo we just have 2, and Moaeki is a good player, one of the better complete TE's, he's had the injuries issues but i think if it wasnt for that he'd probably go in the 3rd.

Re: Who do you take at 25 if?

We did a mock draft on here last year where everybody took a team (or two, or three) and completed the first round or two.

What I liked about this is that you could see who was left on the board, how that specific team drafts, and do some specialized research on who they may be looking at.

Last year, it went very slow because people just came on and made their picks every once in a while.

If we do one this year, which I would like to do again, I would prefer to have a night that is set up like the draft. Set it up in advance, make sure everyone is free, and you get five minutes to make your selection.

Another thing we could do is have one or two teams per day and have everyone discuss the possibilities and then vote on the consensus pick.

There is a TON of good, complete TE's in this draft, FAR more then in the past couple of years. That is my main reasoning for not wanting to risk a first round pick on Gresham.

And Hokie, I'm down, I'll take a team or two.

My nephew roped me into one on a Saints board (20,000+ unique views), "experts", they are running one for non-experts also.
Started 3/13, whole draft, has gotten down to pick 103 at present. Slow as molasses in January.

Consensus pick on 2 teams per day might be fun, especially figuring out Al Davis.

If people get teams, might be a good idea for a want list to be turned in ahead of time, so if someone gets hit with an emergency, things don't stall, they "pick" the highest on their list that is left.

Anyway I'm in there for Ravens, gotten Kindle and took Myron Rolle over Cook. Doesn't look much like a corner is going to make it to 5th, lots gone, of the 5 picks done in 4th round 3 are CB (Arenas, Lewis, Speivey)
Ghee and Cox in the 3rd, McCorty, Franks, Robinson, Cook, Murphy in the 2nd...

    Maybe Jefferson will be there.

Definitely interesting and learning experience, I'd be in if you decide to do it.
Heinz Field Ketchup official ketchup of the Ravens?

I think we can crank out a good 1st round mock with everyone voting on the pick for each team in 15 mins.
