    Al Harris??

Adam Schefter is reporting that Al Harris will be released today per a text from Al. Personally I would love to see the Ravens sign this guy ASAP!

    Why?

    Why?

He is old and coming off a destroyed knee and hasn't played in over a year.

I don't think at this point in his career he is any better than Carr/Wilson/Webb.

What we need is a legit pass rusher (or 2) and a couple more all around ILB's.

Agree however I don't see any of those coming around this year

IMO I would give the guy a shot why not, because he had a knee injury well so did Webb and Washington? When healthy he is a pretty good corner and plays well in press coverage which is something that is lacking from our secondary. He would come cheap, has good size and I don't see how having to many CB's can be a problem when Cb is still a concern?

Who would you release to make room for Harris?
In a 2003 BBC poll that asked Brits to name the "Greatest American Ever", Mr. T came in fourth, behind ML King (3rd), Abe Lincoln (2nd) and Homer Simpson (1st).

    Horrible. Pass.

There is a difference between a young player having a knee injury than a 35 year old player coming off the same type of knee injury.

    Yeah.

Al Harris is nothing but a name player at this point. And even before the injury, while he was solid, he was not a #1 CB guy.

Pass...and wouldn't even think twice about it.

If we had significant injuries in the secondary, than sure why not. But we're at full strength. Carr is playing at a near pro-bowl level. Webb looks good. Wilson looks good.

Harris would be the wrong player at the wrong time, despite Fabian Washington's recent problems.

A related thought that just struck me ...if someone had told you back in July that Chris Carr would be our best-performing corner in the 1st half of the season, how many of you would've said we'd be 6-2 at the halfway point?

Pass on Al. Man would I like woodson though, even at his age. He's the epitome of a football player. Would flourish with Ed over top.
