    Post Game Thoughts: Texans

FUCK YOU Cam. Aside from that, he'll be here for the rest of the season. You pass the ball on 3rd and 2 when the other team has no timeouts?! Idiot. The refs didn't call the obvious holds on Kruger in the endzone, Suggs for a good portion of the night too. Josh Wilson played well on Andre and saved the game for us. Although Joe threw a few high passes, the ball was still hittin the receivers' hands, they have to catch those balls.

My thoughts are that Harbaugh sucks. This team has blown eight 4th quarter leads this season. I don't think Billick gave up half that many in his whole career.

    Re: Post Game Thoughts: Texans

We should NOT have been in this position. However:
    A) We got a win
    B) On the Road
    C) Against a pretty good team
    D) With 9 days rest
    E) And their backs against the wall
    F) With a TON of noncalls that should have gone against them on key drives ( intentional grounding anyone?)

I'll hear plenty of ripping of this team this week, much of which I will agree with, but for tonight (at least for the sake of getting some sleep before work at 6AM) I'm enjoying the win for those reasons above.

Under Billick we had great defense, but no offense. It's supposed to be reversed now, but it's more like the defense is solid to good but often becomes pisspoor because the chicken-with-head-cut-off offense can't sustain drives when they count.

I was going to mention that. I remember at one time Billick was 15-1 with a fourth quarter lead.

I don't know if it's just that our players get winded or if they're just a bunch of pansies, but something has to change.

Pick six aside, the defense isn't getting it done. The pass rush can't hold up against teams that throw 55-60 times a game, and that's what we're starting to see.

The draft picks of Kruger and Kindle are really starting to haunt us now. I realize Kindle got hurt and that could not have been foreseen.. just saying, it'd sure be nice to have two young, high-round draft pick pass rushers on the roster right now, instead of Kruger and Kindle.

Not to mention a couple of stud OL to open some freakin holes for the running game. Lack of a running game is killing us.

Having an offense that can only manage 50ish yards in 30 mins against one of the worst pass defenses in the league doesn't help keep the D from getting winded either... Not saying that's been the case every game, it was in this one and Atlanta though...

Note to Harbs:...Cam screws you once (Steelers) shame on him....
Cam screws you twice (Texans) shame on YOU!

second note to Harbs: in the final 3 minutes of a game, PLEASE get someone else to call the plays. Cam just isn't capable of doing it. I'm sure he's a smart guy and all that, but for some reason he just does not see the big picture of the game in the last 3 minutes.

    Re: Post Game Thoughts: Texans

Get ready...this team will be ripped apart again all week.

And I can't defend them after this. It's getting laughably ridiculous how predictable our collapses are. And NO ONE should be outside of blame....

    1. Cam gets some blame for sure...you still can't come up with an offense that can close out a game. Hell, you can't run an offense that HOLDS a game. If you were a relief pitcher, you'd be Mike Gonzalez the first 3 games last year. You let your offense get into crap situations on 1st down, then 2nd down, then 3rd down, then punt and get 7 minutes to think up a good idea. Then, YOU REPEAT...crap situation on 1st down, 2nd down, 3rd down, punt.

    2. The OL...THE OL....Can you even call that an offensive line? Yes, because it was QUITE offensive indeed. You can't find out if Joe is making progress as a QB IF HE HAS NO TIME TO SEE THE RECEIVERS IN THE FIELD! How many times on that OT drive did you see Pollard on the line, and you couldn't stop him? How many times did we watch Cushing just ole past an OL for a penetration? Meanwhile, our DL is getting absolutely swallowed by their OL. Can you block ANYONE man on man?

    3. Mattison...yeah, I know your D was on the field a ridiculous amount of time. You know what, you need to substitute better to keep them fresh. You got lucky on drops in the first half. In the 2nd half, you just refused to adjust to what was happening on the field. Yeah, you took Andre Johnson out of the game at the end (except the tying TD), but guess what. Every time you double teamed him...SOMEONE else was wide open. You might as well cingle cover him then and put that extra guy on the open man! And why did you keep rushing 4 when all I saw was the DL just get knocked down or stood up by an OL, then I see someone WIDE OPEN underneath? If your pass rush isn't doing shit, CHANGE UP THE PLAYCALL!

    4. Harbaugh...You are supposed to be the HC of this team. Maybe you don't run the offense or defense. But you are RESPONSIBLE for this. Time to start telling your family buddies that guess what, they AREN'T the best options out there. It's time for you to lead this team, or go tell Steve B that you aren't up to the task. I'm glad you keep up from getting penalties and all, but you don't seem to be preparing us for a full 60 minute game. You get a pass for now, only because you have coordinators to shield you. But if you can't recognize a problem and fix it, your time with this team won't last too long, regardless of playoff records.

That's all for now, but I will think of more later.

I would just like to see the Biscuit back a Brinks truck up to Gruden's house this offseason.

Looking back, it really was a team loss (minus special teams) disguised as a W.

Bill Simmons had a good tweet about this game: "I can't believe what I just watched. That Texans team had totally quit and the Ravens spent the past hour giving them mouth to mouth. Awful."

    Re: Post Game Thoughts: Texans

All this talk about Cam needing to go (which I totally agree with), yet nobody says a thing about Mattison??

    Are you kidding me???

The fuckhead Mattison calls for a 3 man rush throughout the 4th quarter, which allows Shaub time to jerk off all he wants back there, and then drive 99 and 95 yards, yet nobody mentions him? What kind of dumb fuck doesn't come with pressure? This is the same kind of crappy defensive scheming which cost us the game in New England!!

Harbaugh, Cameron, Mattison... all 3 of them need to be shot... or fired. I'd be happy with either. The 3 stooges have no clue on how to call a game. Yet, I'm sure there'll be people on this board who will say shit like "Hey, we're 9-4. What more do you want?" Just wait, it's coming.

Joe has looked really good the last two weeks. Really good.

If the offense can clamp down the protection & the defense can get off the field a couple times a game in the 2d half, we'll be ok.

NOOOOO, that's WORSE. Gruden is so fucking annoying, I might have to shoot myself before the bye week listening to him talk.

the games are close because we are losing in the trenches,we have to get stronger on the OL and DL.

After the Pats debacle, many of us saw this coming, but the purple kool-aid drinkers said not to fret, "it is only one game". Inability to Close Out Games = No Pass Rush + No Rush Offense. And, yes, it is looking more like this team will be one and out.

you're 100% correct, joe has carried this team all season,we have no running game so its been all on him.and hes doing it with a bad offensive line.

This comment on the Sun live chat says it all:

"12:05 -- Comment From Miguel: In all 15 years of watching this franchise I have never been so thoroughly embarrassed and utterly disgusted by a team, win or loss."

The only thing that really competes with it is that 57-penalty loss at Detroit in 2005, but I was in college at the time and didn't watch that game. Any other candidates?
