I must be behind the eightball about this
But where in the hell is this so called sports announcer "bulldog" from? What is his background? I am sorry but he makes me sick to my stomach. He is an insulting sob and whatever business advertises on any station that ever carries him is a fool. I was watching him and Marty on the post game show on WJZ and I wanted to blow up the television. I know he is on the radio during the week and everyone can laugh but I do not listen to this show so I'm certain what I'm asking here and saying here is very old news and I"m way far behind any eightball.
I sure miss real announcers/commentators.

He's a tool... a huge tool, and a closeted Squealers fan too. How anyone can listen to him is beyond me.

Re: I must be behind the eightball about this
Thank you. I knew it. I can sniff them out every time. I refuse to believe our local media can't do better than this. He is disgusting and should be banned from Baltimore media.
I read something somewhere saying he WAS a coach at a third rate private school. Any information about this?
Yes, I'm stuck on the sofa and want to punch him out.

Re: I must be behind the eightball about this
When the post-game show came on I switched to the NFL Network and Fox for the Jags-$kin$ game on my DVR. I didn't even consider Bulldog, I wanted to keep watching football. I wish 13 had stayed with the network so we could watch the end of a game or something, I have no interest in listening to Whats-his-name, Williams, Bass and Bulldog. I am sure that post-game deal is profitable as it costs almost nothing to have it on but the ratings should suck, because the show does.

Join the club, I get really get annoyed by his voice. Not even sure why. When he's talking, I just want to stick a whole pie or confectionary dessert into his mouth to muffle the noise.

If you can, try to get NFL RedZone - pure distillate of football.

Bulldog is indeed a farce. He screams even though he has a microphone. His words and thoughts are disjointed and he manages to contradict himself on a minute by minute basis. He epitomizes all that is wrong with squawk radio.

Re: I must be behind the eightball about this
Thanks for bringing this up. I don't listen to radio, either, so the only time I've ever seen this offensive blowhard is when he's doing those post-game shows. After watching him a couple times in the past few years, what I have resorted to is just recording the show and fast-forwarding every time that asshole opens his mouth. I haven't watched the post-game show yet today, because I switched to DC stations as soon as the Ravens game ended.
It's really disappointing that we get only RAVE-TV pablum and the Bass post-game show (sometimes), while DC stations show about 20 hours a week of the Redskins pre-game, postgame, and weekly shows. There's nothing more interesting than the Ravens each Fall, yet the local TV coverage is underwhelming. In a 2003 BBC poll that asked Brits to name the "Greatest American Ever", Mr. T
came in fourth, behind ML King (3rd), Abe Lincoln (2nd) and Homer Simpson (1st).

The guy bleeds yellow and black, that's all you need to know!! He should move to Pittsburg and join 'his kind' - he is not welcome here in charm city!

Yaffee is indeed a tool, but makes it worse is pairing him up with Bass, who is a tool in his own right. Utterly unwatchable.

I sometimes like to listen to bulldog but this year he has gone on the anti-ravens bandwagon too harshly and it has become nauseating. I think he put himself into a corner where if the ravens end up winning he will have mixed feelings because he has railed on them so badly here often. He thinks our offense should be Manning-esque when truthfully we are just incrementally better but that has won us some games evenstill and made this team successful. He lost perspective which seemed to be the case with many this season. As a radio personality, he needs to be better than that.

Re: I must be behind the eightball about this
I am not sure if the op knows what "behind the 8-ball" means, but I digress.
Jaffee seems to buy into his own bs. He always seems to hint at some superior knowledge of the game yet never disperses this deeper understanding. He tries to paint himself as someone that watches harder than the unwashed masses. I would love to see some of the notes from when he "breaks down" the game during his multiple times watching the game. I have never heard anything in his analysis that suggests has a great understandiing that he seems to imply. He only speaks in a repetitive generalizing way about the game. The repetition of whatever idea is rattling in his head is tedious.

Re: I must be behind the eightball about this
I dont post too many replies....but I was at work today and overheard some people in the breakroom talking about how much they couldnt stand him,I've heard him and Mark Vivianno totally insult callers on there show, like they're not capable of having more football knowledge than them....What a couple of Terds.

Re: I must be behind the eightball about this
I don't get all the hate for the Bulldog. He is very knowledgeable and he is probably the best JV football coach in the state of MD. Clearly he is a diehard RAVENS fan and when paired with Marty Ass they become the greatest show on earth.

Re: I must be behind the eightball about this
I too can't stand to hear Bulldog talk.
First off I can't stand his voice and 2nd he just rambles on about nothing like he knows better than everyone else...like he holds the secret and if the Ravens could only do this, they would win.
It seems clear the fans want something better....please someone make that happen.
