    T.J's Interview today

    http://www.baltimoreravens.com/media...ddf33692fa889e

Anyone see this today?? Whats this dude's problem? I guess it doesn't matter as long as he produces, but I hate his attitude sometimes. I sort of thought we were past it, but I guess not.

I know it isn't ''that'' bad, but some of his answers are just spiteful it seems.

I'm glad the players and coaches don't really pay attention to him though.

Funny you post this I just watched the same thing about 10 minutes ago and was thinking the same thing. I just can't seem to get a good vibe from his attitude. I don't know what to think about the dude.

I'm thinking there is a zero chance he will be on this team next year. He thinks he is a lot better than he really is, and should just be happy he is still not on Cincy or Sea!

I don't know, I just can't get myself to hate on a guy for giving a more interesting interview than "I plan to go out there and give 110 percent, it is what it is." Of course a HOFer like Reed gets more leeway for trying to speak freely and honestly about his uncertainty about coming back for another year. I remember in the 07 baseball playoffs when the Red Sox were down 3-1 to the Indians, Manny Ramirez got ripped for saying something to the effect that baseball isn't life and death. I'm not offended by anything like that. (Of course it eased the criticism when his team came back to win that series and the World Series.) T.J. didn't say anything to that level, anyway. But it does seem like he's not on the same intensity level that Harbs tries to bring to the team.

I think the part that really sours you to start the interview is him saying...

"If you're not a starter...or at least I feel this way...you don't have the same intensity level because you're not going in right away"

    ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME??????

Yeah, I get that if you're not a starter, maybe you don't feel as awesome...but if you can't bring a strong intensity level to a playoff game...against a division rival...IN THE 2ND ROUND. Then sit the fuck down. TJ's made very suggestive comments all season about being dissapointed with his reps or his status as not being a starter. Maybe that's not what he was trying to say, but given his comments throughout the year, that's how it comes off...that because he's not a starter, he's not as invested in this game.

I think in a roundabout way he's saying he wants to make a greater impact on the offense and that can only happen if he receives opportunities. I can respect that.

Any player who is satisfied with being second string doesn't belong on the Ravens. Everyone on the roster should be striving for more.

He does sound like an arrogant douche, but maybe that's just his personality.

I hate to pile shit on this guy with everyone else, but yeah, maybe we are getting a glimpse of what has made Cincy so dysfunctional for so long. On the surface they have guys like Housh that seem alright, but then they open their mouths and you realize they are strange and spiteful. When he says he doesn't feel anything before the game because it's just another game, there is a way to say that and look calm, chill, collected... When he does it he just sounds disinterested and above it all.

Agree with others... outlook negative he is here next year.

He could still be here next year...depending on what happens with Mason, we could opt to bring him back to start opposite Boldin. And I guess while I haven't been thrilled with his comments, we also haven't seen that negatively impact the offense. At most, Joe Cam and Harbs just ignore it and move on.

I don't mind this interview so much. Housh is a guy that can make plays and wants to be more involved. He could help his case by maximizing his opportunities when has them (more YAC) and maybe he figures more in the blocking when he's not primary or secondary receiver. I can't say that he is not contributing in other ways because I don't watch game films. He could also make his case a little more subtley but hey, who expects football players to be articulate in their communications with the media?

Like OchoCinco and T.O., he's a guy that would rather catch 10 balls and lose than catch 1 ball and win.

    Career loser.

    Re: T.J's Interview today

He has every right to be unhappy with his role, and as long as he does the job in the role he has, I have no problem with the guy AT ALL.

He was being honest when he said he's not as "up for it" when he's not starting; I prefer that over a guy who will lie. People who tell the truth have clearer minds. It takes a clear mind and a calm head to identify a defense, find a spot in it, reel in the ball and maintain your composure when defenders are bearing down to knock your head off.

He's not a linebacker, he doesn't need to have smoke pouring out of his ears at kickoff to be effective. In my mind he is, at this point in his career, an efficient assassin.

Damn near every fan of this team has complained at one point or another that "the weapons aren't being utilitzed enough." So what's he saying different?

Again, I think the complaints here are ya'll are so effin' conditioned to expect corporate-speak you get goofy when you hear actual truth. Maybe some of you need to go read some Progress Energy press releases to get your groove back. The man is just speaking the truth, that's all. Not one single bit of harm in it.

Can someone tell me what he said that's so bad?

Again, he wants the ball and wants to contribute more. Where is the problem exactly?

Maybe he will be here next year, maybe he wont. But like his other interviews he has done all season, I do not see anything wrong with his comments.

Nothing is wrong with what he said. His candor is refreshing. He wants the ball and he wants to contribute. He knows he joined the team after the top 3 receivers were already signed and participating in OTA's.

I have a feeling he will have passes thrown his way tomorrow.

    Re: T.J's Interview today

I don't have a problem with what he said, he's probably the second best receiver the Ravens have and I think he should have more balls thrown his way. He knows he's going to be playing somewhere next year at the very least as the #2 and it could very well be in Pittsburgh. If I was him I'd have the same "when you’re ready to play let me know" attitude. All season long this offense has slept walked through the season, why get excited now?
