Harbs Contract

Just curious....any news on what is holding up Harbs contract extension?

My guess is the length of the contract is in question. I heard a rumor that they only want to extend him one year. Again, this was a rumor I heard and I don't know other than the person who told me, who the source was.

I think its more likely a money thing than a length thing. Harbaugh, the other one, got something in the 5-7 million dollar range out of the 49ers. Harbaugh, our guy, is certainly looking at that since the other Harbaugh is unproven in the NFL and is unlikely to match John's early success.

Meanwhile, reports are that the Ravens are looking at Mike Tomlins contract as a comparable. Thats about 4 million, which makes for a 1-3 million dollar difference between the two sides. And there is your hold up, most likely.

My opinion...Harbs deal is around 2.5 per and the Ravens were looking to make the extension a Tomlin-esque kind of deal. I can't prove any of this but you put your finger on it Corey.

I would be surprised if SB was Only offering a one-year contract...isn't that kind of an insult to Harbs?! You either like the job he has done, or cut ties!
