Probably not since he is injured every single year.

    Re: Bob Sanders Cut

He is a great player. I do not know how much you could pay him or count on him, but he is a playmaker when healthy in the Troy P/ Ed Reed class. His most recent injury looked like a guy trying too hard to make a tackle when he has not played in a year. If he can find a way to play a little more under control and at like 90% of his normal speed, he may not get hurt as often.

You brought it up, what do you think?

    Missed 30 out of 39 games. Hmmmm...yeah, he's a good risk

I think Sanders would be too much of a gamble,at any price.

    Re: Bob Sanders Cut

He would probably in same situation like TJ or Hamlin last year, he has his deadmoney, so a minimal sign.. go for it! Doubt he will ever be what he was but see him together with Ed for one or two games would be something.

I think if they get him for a good price it would be worth the risk. Plus if you have Zibby and Haruki to play SS if he does get hurt. In my opinion Zibby and Haruki can be better than Landry so if we have Sanders and he does get hurt we get an upgrade either way.

    Re: Bob Sanders Cut

Sanders needs to become an NBA player.

If he can get in with that Phoenix Suns training staff for a year or two, and then transition back to the NFL...look out.

Otherwise, meh. Would be a great signing at the right price, but some team will be more desperate than the Ravens and will give him starter money and a chance to play more.

    No, No, No, No, No.

I actually thought Landry played really well at the end of last year. I'd resign him happily.

    Re: Bob Sanders Cut

Pass. When was the last time this guy played a full season?

    Re: Bob Sanders Cut

Out of 112 games he could have played in over 7 seasons, he played in only 47.

Lemme take my shoes off and do some math here ...

That means he only plays 42% of the time.

    Pass.

Who cares how much he plays. Dude is a game-changer when he's on the field. Does no one here remember how he pretty much single-handedly took the Colts worst regular season defense and turned them nearly dominant in the playoffs when they won the Superbowl?

Right price = backup safety money. But that's absolutely a no-brainer at a price like that. If he plays seven games this year for $1MM, he's giving us an upgrade from the worst S in the game to one of the best. Um, where do I sign up for that?

Right here and you just did.

I would not call Landry anywhere close to the worst SS in the NFL, but Sanders when healthy is obviosly a major upgrade.

If he manages to play 9 games next year he'll match his total from the last 3 seasons combined. Pass.

    Re: Bob Sanders Cut

First question, why was he cut?

I like Sanders but he hasn't shown yet that he can last even half a season. What is the most games he has played in during a season?

That being said, there is always the right price.

    Re: Bob Sanders Cut

Read the article, he was cut because he was due about 5 million next year. He was also due a 500k bonus soon and colts didn't want to pay that.

I guess they need all the money to pay Manning since he turned down a contract bigger then the one Brady just signed.

I love Zibby and Nakamura but they haven't shown they are an upgrade to Landry as a full time safety. Nakamura is a great hitter but Landry can be as well. I think they are all in the same class which is good to slightly above average.

Saying Landry is the worst S in NFL is just plain moronic. No possible way.

This, i think for the right price you sign him but def have a contingency plan in place, i think a healthy Zibs could start at SS or backup at both spots, with Nakamura behind them.
