    Sidney Rice to Baltimore?

ESPN is reporting that Rice would be Baltimore's #1 most wanted FA. I can't find the link but many have said this over at the Sun.

    Please, consider the source.

    Here's hoping.

    Man that would be sick.

I just hope we don't chop off our nose to spite our face. We need to make sure that the OL is ready to go.

On the Sun, they have a huge thread on it. Haven't heard it personally but supposively there is was a tweet from WNST that stated "when the dust settles everyone will be very happy with our WR core"

I caution everyone to not get your hopes up on any one player. There's a lot of teams that have $30 million plus to spend including teams like the Eagles who are not afraid to spend money.

It may well be someone else, but it won't be the Eagles paying that kind of money for a WR.

I like it. I like it a lot. The AFC North doesn't have one corner that can match him.

I would be thrilled to get Rice.

On top of that, there is a chance that Jonathan Joseph and Ike Taylor could both leave the division.

I was thinking about him last night when they showed the list of top FAs. Pure speculation but man would that ease the sting of Mason/Heap

Well, if we are really cleaning house, I guess anything's possible. Although his migraine problem worries me.

Edit: Whoops, mixed him up with Harvin. My bad, folks!

That's Percy Harvin, the Vikings' other receiver.

Rice had a knee injury a few years ago, but has been pretty healthy ever since.

Is that how they spelled "corps"? Heh. I like the station, but this confirms my suspicion that some of those guys are semi-literate.

I have no problem revamping the team. I saw that Heap/Mason/Gregg could be resigned at a more cap-friendly price, but I'm perfectly happy to remember all three fondly and move on without them.

    Bring on Rice!

What about his hip issue that had him out for 10 weeks last season??

Just say yes to Sidney Rice

    Re: Sidney Rice to Baltimore?

I can't find a link ah! Everyone on the Sun is saying ESPN reported it. They said Rice is our #1 target followed by Steve Smith. I'd most certainly like to see it and we have some cap space now. Another thing, I hope the Ravens cut Foxworth while they're at it. The guy is way overpaid and he's coming off an ACL. That'd free a lot of cap money. They only guy I'd definitely take back is Todd Heap. Maybe Mason if nothing happens, but I think they're clearing cap for a reason, but then maybe again this is all for Yanda/Ngata?

    Recent News
Jeremy Fowler of the St. Paul Pioneer Press gives the Vikings just a 40 percent chance of retaining free agent Sidney Rice.
It's no secret that Rice is going to the team that gives him the most money and guarantees. SI's Peter King has also expressed pessimism that the Vikings would be able to keep Rice, and Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune is skeptical as well. "I'm not confident Rice will remain in Minnesota," Zulgad tweeted Friday. "I think someone will give him a big guarantee.
