Re: If Gaither showed up to practice...
But I thought Ozzie was an idiot for not signing him and the rumors of his complete lack of a work ethic were bogus?

Damn(in my ron simmons voice) I eat crow now.
"It's like a rerun ... Everybody knows how this story ends, with us and the Steelers. It's about time we changed it, and give people something new. Right now, it's kind of like we pride ourselves on being a bully, but they're the ones that keep knocking us out of the playoffs. So they're the bully. One day you just got to say '[screw] it' and punch the bully totally in his mouth. Then they won't bully you any more." T-Sizzle

I'm not ready to eat crow yet, but you can please start plucking the feathers and heating the oven. He probably still has the talent to be a decent tackle despite... but no, I don't think I'd want to pay the KWON to bring him in like that.

Re: If Gaither showed up to practice...
When I saw the picture immediately all of the poor work habits and questionable motivation were right there before us in living Chiefs' colors.
Here he is, playing one of the top $$$ positions in his sport and he has a chance to put all the naysayers to rest and cash in and this is the best he can do? No way does this guy deserve a long-term deal.
It would not surprise me if his contract with KC is not guaranteed (I haven't heard that it is) and he's back out there on the street again and Ravens fans clamor to return him to B'more.
Some guys aren't worth it and if you think about this coaching staff, they are more inclined to pay an overachiever than an underachiever with loads of talent.Last edited by TL24x7; 08-16-2011 at 06:21 AM.

Can only imagine what Todd Haley thought when he saw that walking onto the practice field. Maybe he just returned from the oak tree after relieving himself

Re: If Gaither showed up to practice...
First thing that comes to my mind is what the hell are the Chiefs thinking? I wouldn't be surprised if he never plays a down again.
