Has Andre Gurode played guard before?

Re: Game Status Injury Report: Ravens @ Titans
Well, if I'm the Titans I'm going to try and attack the CB's... hopefully we'll get enough from the pass rush and make Haselback have to throw sooner than he wants to.

Re: Game Status Injury Report: Ravens @ Titans
When I first read your post my initial thoughts were no way would that happen and it was mainly because I like Grubbs as our starting LG, he's pretty damn good. But after I thought about it, if Gurode can step up and do what you say is possible and take Grubbs job, that will speak very highly of the depth of this line. Not to mention, Grubbs may be a cap casualty next year and it would be nice to not skip a beat knowing Gurode COULD fill in nicely.

if grubbs misses the game, the guy probably coming in for him has been to the last 5 probowls. maybe gurode outperforms grubbs at guard. too much of a stretch?

Re: Game Status Injury Report: Ravens @ Titans
This Grubbs injury kind of sounds like a big deal. He is such a solid guard on the right side and helped keep Mckinney in check with the pays. With Gurode in, you have two inexperianced ravens on the same side of the line. Not saying it will be horrible, but certainly not as good as it was against the steeler's.

Re: Game Status Injury Report: Ravens @ Titans
You do know that Ben Grubbs isn't a bum right? He's one of the most underrated guards in the league. Gurode is a good insurance policy with Grubbs' toe injury but I don't see him replacing Grubbs based on performance, injury yes performance no. In the words of Cris Carter, C'mon Man.

Re: Game Status Injury Report: Ravens @ Titans
It's a legitimate thought. Grubbs is likely in his last season with the Ravens and if he has a nagging injury this season and isn't 100%, Gurode could prove to be a better option if he stays healthy. It's pure speculation at this point and I can't see it being the case, but hey, nothing wrong with taking the "what if" route.

Re: Game Status Injury Report: Ravens @ Titans
Ravens don't need a flashy win. Just go down there, ground and pound them, and beat an inferior team with relative ease. Do the same thing next week. Week 4 will be the next test about what kind of AFC heavyweight they are at the quarter point when they host the Jets. That's a game they're going to need to be healthy for. Titans and Rams are pick up your wins type games.
Plugging in a replacement G for this game shouldn't be a problem.
A thin secondary, but when Reed is back there on his game like last week the team playing them next is definitely going to be aware of it.
I wish I was more worried about the Titans, but the Ravens just don't lose games like this one.

How the hell did Grubbs injure himself anyway?
