GAME THREAD - Week 2 - Titans
Ravens announce inactives: G Grubbs, WR Doss, CB Smith, CB Brown, CB Carr, NT McKinney, OLB Kindle
No surprises, except the Ravens clearly trust Gorrer over Chykie Brown right now, as he is active over Brown. Grubbs is down with Gurode likely to start at guard. Hopefully it won't matter against the Titans.
Cannot PBP today, but will be providing some commentary as we go. Lets go Ravens, should get to 2-0 today without any surprises!

Re: GAME THREAD - Week 2 - Titans
Watching ESPN pre-game and Merril Hoge just said some really good things about Joe Flacco and the Ravens from last weeks Steelers beat down. WOW! Maybe that is why it's chilly outside, hell may have just froze over.

Re: GAME THREAD - Week 2 - Titans
So when does Kindle get to play?
20 NFL games into his career that count and mean something, and he still has yet to take the field much less make a contributing play.
Too busy dealing with legal issues today?

Strange Bru,
I'm wondering what Cowher will have to say in the pre game show.
I think we can beat the Titans straight down the middle, both passing and running.

Re: GAME THREAD - Week 2 - Titans
Kindle is kind of a rookie this year. It took kruger about half of his rookie season before he was activated. Not too suprised kindle isn't out there yet. Holding rookies back is one of the trademarks of the harbaugh era.

It amazes me that they wont activate tandon doss. Imo he's clearly more ready than torrey and even david reed

Re: GAME THREAD - Week 2 - Titans
I'm guessing Doss being inactive has less to do with his abilities to catch than it does his ability to contribute on special teams, the way LaQuan and Torrey seem to be able to.

Re: GAME THREAD - Week 2 - Titans
I don't know why they are so high on David Reed, he hasn't had any big catches in real game situations. Doss deserves the nod over Reed. Also, I'm excited to see Gurode get the start at LG, it should prove to be the great signing we hoped it would be.

Re: GAME THREAD - Week 2 - Titans
Maybe you could look at it like they're not ready yet, like Doss with ST (I think that was why it wasn't picked?)
or maybe that the Ravens have such great depth across the board that even some guys with the potential to make some plays can't even suit up.

Re: GAME THREAD - Week 2 - Titans
DOSS still needs to learnhow to play special teams you know how harbs do it hes wants guys that can contribute all around, that still doesnt say why he's not playing the kid was ballin in preseason and way ahead of the other wideouts below Q and evans.
"It's like a rerun ... Everybody knows how this story ends, with us and the Steelers. It's about time we changed it, and give people something new. Right now, it's kind of like we pride ourselves on being a bully, but they're the ones that keep knocking us out of the playoffs. So they're the bully. One day you just got to say '[screw] it' and punch the bully totally in his mouth. Then they won't bully you any more." T-Sizzle

Re: GAME THREAD - Week 2 - Titans
even if t. smith doesn't make any catches, his speed will still open up the middle of the field. it did against the steelers.
