I dunno.. but it does remind me of last year. (albiet jets game was in their stadium).
Went out and beat the nemesis Jets and they're on top of the world... only to go into Cinci and lose to the lowly Bungles...but they recovered.
Look out Rams

You'll envoke the wrath of the "die hard" fans though.

1-1 isn't the worst place to be. It sucks how we got here, but if we had to lose one of these two games I'd rather it was to the Titans. That hurts us less than losing- at home!- to the Steelers.
This is a good football team, for all its faults. Every football team has holes and problems. How the teams overcome them decides who the winners and losers are.

Hopefully we can win our next 2 and go into the bye at 3-1. That Houston game is gonna be tough but I'm glad we have two weeks to prepare for it. (BTW, I'm going to that game
)

Packers had a tremendous amount of injuries last year. It got so bad they had to start 3 rookie free agents. That's going to take a while to adjust to. Problem last week were the players who are supposed to be the backbone of this team weren't getting it done. That's a big difference.

If I have to lose 4-5 games this year, I'd rather lose to NFC teams or those that have no shot at making the playoffs. I'd rather beat the Jets, Steelers, Texans etc. to own the H2H come timebreaker/playoff time.

It'll help if we can actually beat Cincy 2 out of 2 ...as we should have done last year. The Bengals just seem to give us fits.
Sweep the Steelers. Sweep the Bengals. Sweep the Browns. Sure would be nice to go 6-0 against the AFCN competition. If I could have that scenario I'd gladly take losses to the Titans and a couple of other non-divisional opponents.

Re: so what if you lose 3 of your first six games to non playoff teams
10-6 is good enough to make the playoffs in the NFC, where 7-9 teams somehow make it to the post season.
Meanwhile, the AFC has 11-5 teams staying home. The competition in this Conference is tough. It also explains why the AFC has owned the NFC in Superbowl wins over the past decade.
I laughed when NFL network talked about the 90's when Dallas-SF was a huge game with post season implications. Now? They're just two 2nd tier teams that ACT like they matter, but they really don't.After 5 years of early exits, the journey is finally complete.

I feel much better now that I've read this thread. We SHOULD sweep our division. Then on to the playoffs!
