Re: Ravens Inside Skinny: Who's in, out, up, down?
that was a great column tony. im on the fence about evans starting on sunday night, just like the ravens are, it sounds like. i want to see him at 100% but at the same time, im pretty anxious to see evans and smith split wide with boldin in the slot working the middle of the field with dickson. how do you cover that bunch?

Re: Ravens Inside Skinny: Who's in, out, up, down?
Thanks Tony! Great article. So much interesting info.
No doubt the Steelers have not looked as strong as previous years. The fact that they barely beat the Colts adds to the evidence we provided of that in week 1. Let's hope it's not just an early season lull.

Great column Tony.
As for Evans, I'd like to see him start if he can on Sunday night. This game is critical, IMO, it's one of those must, should, better win games. The mismatches that could be created with 3 receiver sets would be mind boggling if Cromartie isn't in, or at 100%.

Excellent column. There was more actual info in that column than the Sun sports page provides in a week. Thanks, Tony.
I am wondering about Jimmy Smith's high ankle sprain. IIRC, that injury kept Todd Heap out 6 - 8 weeks a few years ago. Is this the same injury?

Re: Ravens Inside Skinny: Who's in, out, up, down?
Does anyone think that Antonio Cromartie's status for this game could affect the Ravens decision to start or play Lee Evans Sunday night?

I want to see cromartie run with T. Smith all game with a bruised lung. He doesnt even have to make catches to really open it up. This what we all saw with Stallworth. Doesnt matter if he catches the ball everytime. The simple oh shitness of a fast guy running by you is enough to help our sort of offense out.

Inside info has been turned up by you TL. Wonderful. Could you do a paid insider section in the future?

Good stuff Tony! Is it confirmed that any of those T Smith TDs were audibles?

Re: Ravens Inside Skinny: Who's in, out, up, down?
Starting Torrey is a good idea. If Evans suits up they could use him sparingly as a distraction to give Boldin and Rice more breathing room. And if he's open move the chains. If he's willing to play and the coaches don't really feel it would damage his existing injury it could prove beneficial.

Re: Ravens Inside Skinny: Who's in, out, up, down?
The key is Cromartie, who could handle Smith at the line better than Justin King did for St. Louis. The Jets are weak at safety. Jim Leonard is reliable in a sense, but they don't have the type of safeties that can play all over the field. I still think that they could exploit those safeties if Cromartie plays, but it would be easier under those circumstances if Evans plays as well. Rex is not going to put Wilson on Evans man to man.

Re: Ravens Inside Skinny: Who's in, out, up, down?
Thanks Tony as always. The bit about Dickson vs. Leonhard is right on. I've been thinking all week that we beat the Jets through the air. I predict a big output from Dickson this week. As I have said this week, the Jets secondary can't cover everyone. I also predict 150+ all-purpose yards from Ray Rice (many of the aforementioned yards coming in YAC from screens).

No reason to rush Lee back and postpone his full recovery. That's right...I'll say it!!! The Jets aren't that good.
