Colts Phoned it In
Been jumping back and forth between the World Series and the disgrace of a game on NBC.
The Colts are being edged out 62-7, but there are still over 12 minutes left for them to mount a comeback.
What a disgraceful effort.

Is 12 minutes out too early to start taking a knee? Geez, they need a mercy rule.

Re: Colts Phoned it In
I don't recall ever seeing a 70-point game in the NFL.
Wouldn't mind this being the first!
EDIT: The Irsays just punted from the 50 down 55 with 6:42 left. Now that's disgraceful.

Looks like the Dolts are well on their way to going 0-16.

Looks like 72 points is the record. They might as well go for it!

Brees literally raped the Colts defense tonight. His stat line is insane.

Who should trade for Manning? I would think San Fran, NYJ, Wash, SEA, and MIA should all take a good look! Luck very well could be heading to Indy.

Re: Colts Phoned it In
I got a few snickers from friends when I said the Colts were maybe an 8-8 *with* Manning.
Manning does mean a lot, but he doesn't play defense.

It makes you proud to be a Raven's fan, doesn't it.
When losing one player makes your season crash and burn like that, you have a terrible front office. This is a novel I was asked to proofread. The author is giving 10% of the profits to kidney research, which is a big deal in the Darb household. Fair warning; it's a fantasy novel, and the main characters are lesbians. It's three bucks on kindle from Amazon.http://www.amazon.com/WINDOWS-BROKEN...ken+fairy+tale

There was a 72-0 game in the 1940's: Chicago Bears vs. Redskins. Bears won.Apparently there was player dispute with George Preston Marshall and the Redskins showed their displeasure by not competing.

Re: Colts Phoned it In
If I recall correctly, the 1940 NFL championship game was Bears 73, Redskins 0. The Redskins beat the Bears 7-3 earlier in the year, and George Preston Marshall claimed his team had more guts than the Bears or some such thing. The Bears were fired up for the championship game and also unveiled the 'new' T-formation. Hall of Fame Redskins QB Sammy Baugh threw a pass to a receiver in the end zone which was dropped. After the game he was asked if the outcome of the game would have been different had his receiver caught the pass for the score. Baugh quipped, "Yup, it would have been 73-7."

Re: Colts Phoned it In
If they could just get a healthy Peyton back on defense and special teams, the Colts would be a serious contender, man.
