    Schedule question

    Random question about the schedule...

How come we played Arizona at home and are playing Seattle on the road this season? Isn't that the same as when we played them in 2007?

No rotation for the games against AFC-NFC.. So they start all over, unlike when we play AFC divisions.

And I believe the reason was the westcost trips, max two games or so...Anyway the reason was a west coast thing.

    Re: Schedule question

Last year "THE NFL ANNOUNCED that in future years, teams will travel to either Kansas City and San Diego OR to Oakland and Denver when playing the entire AFC West, and to San Francisco and Arizona OR to Seattle and St. Louis when playing the entire NFC West. "

I think this is to make travel a little easier

It's about the travel. There are scenarios where teams would have had to travel coast to coast up to 4 times in one season depending on the order of finish games that aren't decided until the end of each season. So the league "unbalanced" the schedule.
