    Donte Stallworth released by Redskins

Would make a good pickup for the Ravens if you ask me. At least he'd be able to slide into the playbook.

They guy is no longer fast, can't catch and can only run a 9 route. This might be it for him.

The reverse and double reverse section of the playbook has been closed.

C'mon... not every guy on the street is better than what we have. Torrey Smith has contributed so much more than a washed up Stallworth has. I liked the signing last year... but it just never panned out. Now, if Evans goes to IR, then maybe worth a look.

Apparently, his journeyman career, with only modest periods of production, followed by a year out of football, then an entire season of him doing nothing, and now half of another season of him doing nothing but getting even older and less productive, has not convinced the entire fan base that this guy is not The Messiah.

what did he do for the Ravens while he was on our roster? why would we want him back?

I think he's a pretty cool guy, but his speed has dropped off and I don't think we need him.

Hey! Leach blew some bitches up with that route Sunday night. lol. Even when it doesn't get Yards... it does damage. He was close to fumbling that ball though.

Only the longest play from scrimmage last year. Incidentally, it came against the Steelers.

Look, I'm not saying we should, just that he would fill LaQuan's spot with surer hands.

Re: Donte Stallworth released by Redskins

He has one more catch than LQ Williams to this point playing for a team that has been playing from behind in their past six games...not an upgrade. What sense does it make to cut a young player who has played well enough thus far for a guy on the wrong side of 30 who has done literally nothing of note in the NFL in his entire career?

Seriously, I was down on the receivers up until Sunday. I thought a veteran was needed. I don't anymore. Both Smith and Williams made some big catches in pressure situations in a game with huge importance. I would no longer consider receiver an area of concern on this team.
