Cary Williams, Ravens Moving On To Seattle
The Crazy Newshound has found a new Ravens article.
Halfway through the season, the Ravens find themselves with a 6-2 record and back in control of the AFC North. Suddenly the Cincinnati Bengals game on November 20th has the makings of being an unexpected division showdown. But John Harbaugh and his team can't even think about that game right now.
Baltimore is fresh off an emotional, thrilling game, beating the Pittsburgh Steelers 23-20 at Heinz Field Sunday. But Harbaugh and the Ravens can't look back at that game either.
They are concentrating on the Seattle Seahawks.
"Mostly I think you put it in the rearview mirror," Harbaugh said at his Monday afternoon press conference. "That's something we have to deal with... because it was such an emotional win. That's a little tougher than maybe some other games.
"It was great. It was a great locker room. But we're moving on. Seattle is up."
Tuesday night Ravens cornerback Cary Williams talked with WBAL's Gerry Sandusky on Ravens One On One and agreed with Harbaugh's "moving on" mentality.
"We can't allow that big win that we had to (stay in our minds)." Williams said Tuesday night. "We have another challenge ahead of this week and we have to focus on Seattle. We have to get back to focusing on football. (We can't) worry about what happened last week."
The Ravens only two loses this year have come to losing teams. Williams doesn't plan on the Ravens getting their third loss against the 2-6 Seahawks.
"We definitely don't want another letdown like we have had previously," Williams said. "We have to get back into focus.
"Regardless of what a team's record is, we have to take this week seriously. We have to go out there and get the job done and win."
Coach Harbaugh agrees.
"We've let some slip away that we shouldn't have," he said. "What you just try to do is continue to improve, because the next challenge is going to be the toughest challenge.
"That's just the way it is."
And that challenge is Seattle this Sunday at CenturyLink Field.
Coverage of the game starts at 1pm on your home of the Ravens, 1090AM WBAL.
