Kurt Warner on the Ravens Offense.

I didnt get a chance to see it but apparently before the game last night They were talking about the Ravens vs Bengals matchup and they asked Kurt Warner who the most important Raven was, his answer... Cam Cameron.

He pointed out that hes not running an offense to benefit his players and his inability to change gameplans on the fly. Hes been sticking with things that arent working for too long. Not sure who the other guy was but he actually took the Bengals saying for the exact reason Kurt listed, stating he wont change.

I wish I had video but I cant seem to find any on NFL.com.

If this is so obvious that these commentators are starting to comment on it as well as us fans, how can Harbaugh not see this and force him to change his gameplanning. Is it really because of his inexperience as OC or DC. Im going beyond the "coach speak" here as hes obviously said he supports Cam, but behind doors he needs to change the philosophy, he is the glaring problem with this inconsistent offense.

I think this is a make or break year for Cam. If this offense continues to be inconsistent, I don't think Cam's contract will be renewed.

I was excited in a delusional, irrational way for 2.3 nanoseconds upon seeing the name "Kurt Warner" and the word "Ravens" in the same sentence.

I certainly don't. Kurt Warner, even 2-3 years ago when he was still playing, was a pitiful QB in temperatures under 50 degrees. Put him in a dome or in Arizona and he was a dynamo. Put him in cold weather and he shriveled up dramatically as a QB. Heading into these cold weather games, I'll stick with a QB who has a documented history of winning games in cold weather.

I thought last year was a make or break year for him. He is still here because JH is too hard headed to make the change.

Everyone keeps saying Harbaugh needs to make Cameron change his ways, what if this is what Harbaugh wants offensively? A pass first offense like the staff he was a member of in Philly?

KVV made this point in his Sun column this week. Harbaugh said he would be and apparently IS more involved in the offense this year - if Harbaugh wasn't okay with how the offense was being ran, he'd make Cameron change it up.

That is my problem with Cameron.

I think he does a pretty decent job Monday-Saturday gameplanning versus the opponents weaknesses, tendencies, etc. But on Sunday, when things don't work out as planned, he (and let's be honest here, Harbaugh too) seems incapable of making the adjustments needed to win.

Duhhhhhh! The Ravens offense has been inconsistent for four years (particularly in big games at the end of the season/playoffs). You have to have a lot of wishful thinking to believe that there is a possibility that he will change.

You could be right about that. difference being pass first taking advantage of your players strengths vs pass first just for the sake of passing. I dont think Cam maximizes the players talent on the team by scheme whats so ever.

I think his gameplans through the week may be alright, Im not sure i could substantiate that in anyway, but i know when things arent working it shouldnt take till halftime or longer to change it up. He also has a problem sticking with what is working, which I think people her refer to as "out smarting himself".

I didn't know Bart Starr was available.

I agree with those that believe it is a joint Harbs/Cam issue, and therefore
don't expect to see much in the way of change. Bummer.

    I absolutely agree with Warner.
I think he hit the nail on the head.
You need to be able to adapt DURING the game.
There are a number of Raven assistant coaches upstairs, YES?
Aren't they supposed to be the coordinators eyes from above to see things?

Look, the best thing about the Ravens 2000 defense was they adjusted after every series. They figured out what the opponent was trying to do and they adapted to them.

Find out how the defense is DEFENDING and adjust.
Exploit their weaknesses using your own players' strengths.
    Rocket science...obviously...

Lets just be glad that Cameron has only seven more games with the Ravens.

If they happen to stumble into the playoffs it will be despite Cam Cameron - not because of him. But don't expect too much.

I don't know who they will get as Offensive Coordinator -but it has to be an improvement over this year.

with the success that these first time head coaches and rookie QBs are having makes me wonder if it was the right choice to keep him regardless of the lockout.

WOW! I feel so fortunate that the Ravens did what they had to do to make this happen. Thank you. My Heart is with the Raven....My Heart is with Baltimore and its great fans. What can I say. Here We Go!!! --Ray Lewis

I remember 1 bad game he had late in the year against the Pats in the cold but honestly I can't think of any others. Which cold games was he horrible in during the last 2 or 3 years of his career?
