Bengals have mailed it in for 2011
They lost AT HOME to the Steelers and they follow it up by getting blown out in the rematch?
Finito. Done.
Should hopefully mean an easier win for the Ravens than that last one.
That is a very revealing game about the Bengals. Horrendous performance.

I think the Bengals at home, in a possible do-or-die wildcard scenario, will bring a much better game than they have today.Should hopefully mean an easier win for the Ravens than that last one.
There's no such thing as an easy game on the road in this division.

I didn't see a single snap of the game but I'm not surprised they got spanked. Pitt needed that win and wanted to make a statement.

Re: Bengals have mailed it in for 2011
There are some teams that cannot overcome early mistakes. Cincinnati is one of those teams. They missed the opportunity to take a 7-0 lead and never recovered from the blocked field goal.

Re: Bengals have mailed it in for 2011
The Steelers aren't letting us have a coronation. We're going to have to take the division.
Figures the Bengals wouldn't help us out. I'm surprised at the score, but I think the assessment of the Bengals as a team that can't overcome early mistakes is probably correct. They're a team that relies on young players, and young players usually have a harder time putting a play behind them than veterans. In the NFL, you're going to lose on some plays. It doesn't matter how good you are: sometimes you get beat. You've got to put it out of your head and get ready for the next play.

Cincy just isn't ready. It was a good story while it lasted, but it's time for big boy football now.

Many of the mistakes they made were young mistakes as well.

Re: Bengals have mailed it in for 2011
This. EXACTLY.
After that opening sequence the Bengals knew it wasn't their day.
AND in case anyone forgot:
The Ravens, had a TD taken back. Stalled their first drive in Pitt, settled for a FG.
Then they missed the field goal in their second drive
And still beat the Steelers.
In their place.
