The NBA can't find an owner for the New Orleans Hornets and has to buy them.

The NHL can't find an owner for the Phoenix Coyotes and has to buy them.

MLB is forced to buy the Dodgers and is still sorting that mess.

....and the crappiest franchise in the NFL the Jacksonville Jaguars sells for $760 million dollars. The dominance of the NFL is amazing to watch

They should move, but Wayne Weaver decided that the final piece of his legacy of failure would be to try to help his reputation among the nonexistent Jags fanbase by selling to someone committed to keeping the team in Jacksonville. However, it may be that the new owner is just saying those things until the sale goes through and will make a gesture of trying to stay in JAX but will move to LA in 2 or 3 years.

FWIW, the new owner has already gone on record and said he intends to keep the team in jacksonsville. Ironically he's a big St. Louis rams fan and even tried to buy them. Perhaps St Louis moves to LA and Jacksonsville moves to St Louis

I have an idea: Let Petey Angelos sell the Orioles and use that money to buy the Jags. That would be a win-win for Baltimore sports fans.

At the time he was trying to buy the Rams the rumors were that he was really a Bears fan but obviously they will never be sold in his lifetime.
