Re: Jen Royle finally heading back to Bos
I have no problems w/Jen Royle because she's a woman. I have problems w/her because she's a know-nothing. If a Victoria's Secret model knew nothing about football but wore lingerie while talking about the Ravens, I'd watch at first (then watch more w/the mute button on) but eventually get bored b/c she knows nothing. If a Rosie O'Donnell looking woman comes to town (or better yet, already lives here & has opinions about our sports teams) and is credible, I'll be her biggest fan.
Same thing w/guys. There are a bunch of male broadcasters I tune out, not because they're handsome or not handsome, but because they lack credibility. Can anyone really take Stan Saunders seriously? And he knows 1,000 times more about sports than Ms. Royle.
CBS needs to bring credible, not attractive. Z on TV needs to learn that sports fans respond to informed opinion, not sex. (or gender as tehy call it now......)

Re: Jen Royle finally heading back to Bos
Stan Saunders? My god he was awful. Is he still on the air? thanks to cable growing up in Carroll County I got to watch the 2 best local sportscasters ever: Jerry Girard on channel 11 in NY and Glenn Brenner in DC. If you weren't dying laughing afterwards there was something wrong with you.

Re: Jen Royle finally heading back to Bos
I think it's a bad omen for media outlets that the two news websites - the Sun and this other Sports paper, the name of which I forget - shut down debate or criticism.
Yes, Royle is a punchline and comical and on her way out the door. But I am disappointed media outlets chose to roll over for her and I fear for the precedent it sets.Festivus

Re: Jen Royle finally heading back to Bos
I saw him with a woman once and she was really ugly and short and fat. Had
short brown hair. It was at the Holiday Inn in Timonium where I went
line dancing o Fri nights. They had a big shin dig there and both Marty
and Lorie DeYoung were there as MCs.
This wasn't long after he re-married. That was after he was arrested for
soliciting a prostitute near Patterson Park I think it was. He was suspended
til his trial. He had a lawyer that got him off on a technicality, which was
the female cop didn't go down far enough on him. True.
The judge had been giving cops warning about sting operations and his
lawyer knew it so he got Marty off but it cost him his wife and family.
He said he was doing research for a news piece at the station. ILMAO
Nobody believed him.
So I walked in the lobby and saw Marty talking to this short ugly fat
chick and I was just staring and laughing at him. He saw it too but
nobody said anything. As I got closer Marty said to her, I gotta go
somewhere and he left her fast and took off to the john.
Notice how all these TV celebrities go to the john when I show up-lol.
It was like he didn't want to be seen
with her because he knew exactly what I was thinking that she was
his wife. She probably wasn't but she was pissed as hell and said
something to her friend and almost gave me the finger.
There was also the time he broke Babe Ruth's bat at the station.
True.
John Buren had it on loan from the museum he was going to display on
the show. Marty wasn't feeling good
that day either and went into to his pal to talk to, saw the bat, picked it
up and smashed it to smitherines.
He didn't know it was the Babe's bat worth over $100,000. He was suspended
once again for 3 days. Somebody's insurance paid for that bat but I
never knew who paid for it.
That's Marty. I also saw him at a Roost bull roast and was sitting at Ts
table and he said hey Trap, Marty's here. Watch it.
It was the same thing he said to me when we sat behind Lee Anne at
the Indy PO game. No, he actually told me to shut up. LOL.Last edited by AirFlacco; 12-22-2011 at 03:23 PM.

Re: Jen Royle finally heading back to Bos
Nobody can say we only trash women. We trash everyone.
John Buren was another guy everyone hated. He often talked about the Skins
and had guys on and the Bmore fans hated him.
The first game at Ravens stadium was on a Sat night vs the Giants so they had all
these ceremonies before the game and Buren was the MC. I was with a chick from
line dancing and during the game when several flags were dropped she said why did
the guys in the zebra shirts drop all their hankies? True, that's what she said but it
was her first pro game. I said no honey, they are penalty flags and the guys are Refs
and someboyd did something wrong.
Anyway, before the game Buren came out at mid field and he was booed so loudly,
same as Marty was at the Lyric that he couldn't say one word. He was booed right
off the field. He couldn't do the ceremony.
So the next night on TV he wore a Skin's jersey.
He's no longer on TV but selling real estate. LOL
Speaking of Skins, Marty Ass also had Gibbs on when he was their coach but
they only talked NASCAR since Gibbs owned one and Marty had a website where
he sold NASCAR stuff or something.
Fans didn't like that either. He either had Squeelers on or Skins on so SCREW HIM.Pic of a natural act.

Re: Jen Royle finally heading back to Bos
Buren was probably the douchey-est guy to ever anchor network sports here.. Anyone remember how much that dude blinked? That and covering the WWF during sports segments, as if it was real. What a weirdo..
As for Marty Bass.. man am I tempted to tell a story about him which my sister relayed to me a few years back. (she knows Marty VERY well).. But I'm gonna be nice and not leave myself open to libel. Let's just say that Marty and his wife Sharon both love to *ahem* hang out and have a good time with other couples...

Re: Jen Royle finally heading back to Bos
Geez, Trap. I fully admit to telling you to shut up. Yes, I was that rude .... in order to get your attention!
Now, since you want to blab this tale (which I had always thought was going to be held in confidence), how about let the Ravens fans know that you had been repeatedly screaming in her ear "Oher, you suck!". This was no ordinary "Lee Anne", rather, she was Leigh Anne Tuohy, Michael Oher's real life adoptive mother who was played by Sanda Bullock in The Blindside. I will concede that, after her ear drums recovered and after you pulled your foot out of your mouth, she laughed about your ragging on Oher and even paid you a compliment or two for your enthusiasm and for flying out to Hoosierville to support the team.In a 2003 BBC poll that asked Brits to name the "Greatest American Ever", Mr. T
came in fourth, behind ML King (3rd), Abe Lincoln (2nd) and Homer Simpson (1st).

Re: Jen Royle finally heading back to Bos
Nah, that was Camus in The Stranger. GOTCHA!
T - I was just joking about the "shut up" remark. That doesn't bother me. It was a joke.
Just kidding man,
trying to be funny. You were right but when I root for my team I yell and scream and everyone
on my side of the stadium hears me, no matter what stadium I'm in and I spent a grand on one
weekend watching lousy football while mostly everyone else stayed home and watched
on TV, so I can yell anything I want.
Anyway T, I never said Oher sucks and you were drinking. I said where's the blind side guy,
where's the blind
side guy when Mathis was running straight by him and Lee Anne even said everyone had
a bad game. Joe was dumped and the ball was batted up in their air at the los.
How was I supposed to know that was LeeAnne and thus The Stranger quip bleeding
with sarcasm. I never saw her before. I thought
you were joking. Then we talked after the game and I said I was sorry and she
made her remark and gave me a big hug. That wasn't you she was hugging.
It was funny, Sean was sitting next to her with his sister on the other side and spent
the entire time talking to her. He must have been fighting with LeeAnne because he
never looked at her the entire game. That's why LeeAnne turned around talking to
me. She was lonely and said did you come all the way out here to root for the Ravens.
I said yea. T and I go to a lot of road games and follow the Ravens all over the country.
She was impressed. She said where do you live in Bmore. I said Harford County and
she said my son lives in Bmore. I had no idea it was Michael. She looked different
from the book. She was the most beautiful woman I ever saw.
I hadn't seen the movie yet, but the movie made Sean look like a pussy like someone
who never made a major decision in that family but the real Sean is no pussy. In the
book he smacks the NCAA investigation in the teeth saying Michael has more money
than anyone in Mississippi. Did you not notice this big house he lives in. Did you not
notice all the expensive cars outside. Would you llke to see his jet?
That ended it but none of that was in the movie, just the bitch grilling Oher. You don't
want to mess with the real Sean.
Oher went to a private Christian school in Memphis - Briarcliffe so I told her about
a school and church just like it over by the Castle. He has a home over there, so
she appreciated the info and was going to tell him.
She said bring the book by the VIP tent in camp and I'll get the entire family to sign
it. I said your daughter too. She said yea.
She sure wasn't pissed at me even if T was.Last edited by AirFlacco; 12-23-2011 at 05:06 AM.

Re: Jen Royle finally heading back to Bos
Thanks, man.
Since we're dissing everyone nobody mentioned Damian the Bull Dog. Viviano's pal.
Everyone hated it when Viv left but we were all happy when the bull dog went off.
Damn, he was guly too.
How dare Ch 13 have him and Marty on after the games. Neither one of them know
anything about football and everyone laughed when the dog said Im a high school
coach.
Yea, he coached the JV team at Boys Latin or some place.
He was just as bad as Jenn.
Anyone agree.
Oh yea, one other thing about LeeAnne. Everyone says, man what a story. 70,000
people and LeeAnne is sitting in front of you. 'That wouldn't happen to anyone
but you. That's for sure.
Then my brother said did you learn anything from it.
I said yea. Always make sure the guy's mom isn't sitting in front of you the
next time you diss someone.

Re: Jen Royle finally heading back to Bos
I was just talking about this Jenn Royle bullshit to someone at work and explaining that the problem isn't women, and there are plenty of guys out there worse than Jenn Royle or Anita Marks (who she also mentioned). But when I said "plenty of guys" I was really only thinking of one, Trap.
And you nailed it. That guy was the worst.
It's bad to be rude to people. It's not ok to be rude even if you know a lot. But if you're rude and arrogant and you are an idiot, well, that's the lowest form of scumbag on sports talk radio.Festivus

I couldn't stand Bulldog, especially the way he had to repeat every ignorant statement three and four times.Since we're dissing everyone nobody mentioned Damian the Bull Dog. Viviano's pal.
Everyone hated it when Viv left but we were all happy when the bull dog went off.
Damn, he was guly too.
I don't have an opinion on Royle one way or the other. She doesn't bother me, but I'm not going to miss her, either.
I wouldn't mind hearing that Irsay fan was heading out of town, though.

Re: Jen Royle finally heading back to Bos
I love you too Uncle Festus and Merry Christmas and good will to all men. I just got back from
the water hole and even had a Squeelers fan we threw out last year try to be nice to me and I
said, Hell man, It's Christmas. No arrogance from me tonight. I can't be pissed at anyone at
Christmas, not even Squeelers fans and gave him a big hug so here's a cyber hug to you and
HR too.
Best Wishes to you and yours.Last edited by AirFlacco; 12-23-2011 at 12:23 AM.

I loved when Bulldog would have on a player or coach and he'd try to explain x's and o's to them!! LMFAO. I nearly wrecked my car once listening to that nonsense.

My best 105.7 moment was when a caller actually got through, on air and said, "Hey Scott, when is Anita going to suck your dick?" I almost wrecked the car laughing.
