    Why it's Romney

Anne Coulter explains why it's Romney in this piece as he is rising in polls ahead of Paul, Santorum and Newt bringing up the rear.

    http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com...ising-in-iowa/

This piece really shocks me and I just don't believea word Romney says. He's defended ROMNEY CARE yet she said the next 4 years are the most important to repealing OBUMMER CARE. His most recent statement on it
was there are some bad things and some good things on OBUMMBER
CARE which is what Anne says in this piece the GOPs will do if it isn't
repealed. GOPs will be left with just trying to improve it instead of
getting rid of it. Romney is saying lets just take the bad stuff out.
That was after he defended ROMNEY CARE.

Repealing is the only we to expunge it cause the Supreme Court won't,
not with Kennedy and Roberts on it.

But she says Romney is for E-Verify the second most important issue of the election. This has to do with immigration.

E-VERIFY, first time I heard of it, allows employers
to be certain that immigrants are legal when they hire them.

Romney and Bachman are the only GOP candidates
    that are for it. Huh?

Not even Newt? Nope. Like the Bushes he's for legalizing illegals and making them second class citizens giving them a red card. That's so the
corporate world can hire them dirt cheap w/o E-VERIFY.

But like Coutler says, legalize them and the entire
electorate of the country will be in California because our vote won't matter.

If OBUMMER CARE isn't repealed by 2016, America
will go the way of Greece as a poor Western European state.

All Republicans can do after that is promise to make
OBUMMER CARE better after we are thrown off our employers benefits plans.

Sorry, Anne, but I just don't believe a word Romney
says even when he said to deport OBYs illegal
    uncle for drunk driving.

Between this game Sunday in Cinci and the elections campaign I've been uptight.

It's the most important election in the country's history as the liberals are this close to destroying it.

Oh yea, Coulter was also for the NJ Guv getting
the nomination too and he favored legalizing illegals
and had terrorist connections that got him the Muslim vote.

Anne has flipped her conservative whig.

And Oh, the reason Romney is starting to blow em away is because he's the liberal establishment's guy and the machine is just kicking in.

Thousands lined up to see him in New Hampshire causing traffic backups with people stopping and parking in the middle of the street just to go over and get a glimpse of him.

    1. Who listens to Coulter? On either side?

    2. Romney will win because there are no other choices that remotely come off as reasonable. Geez...even Coulter gets that.

    3. The fact that Ron Paul and Rick Santorum are gaining in the polls this close to actual voting is the icing on the cake of what has been a complete GOP disaster. Anyone who doesn't agree with me on this simply has no political acumen.

I heard today that Obama is in Hawaii on vacation while his campaign has more operatives on the ground in Iowa than the entire GOP field combined. Just think about that for a second.

Dana Milbank wrote a couple months go that he believed the reason the GOP field is so weak and so many stronger GOP candidates are staying on the sideline is because these guys calculated long ago that Obama would be too hard to beat and they didn't want to ruin their future chances at the Presidency. I didn't so much agree then but I think I am warmer to this idea.

I am looking forward to Iowa. Imagine what woukld happen if Paul or Santorum squeak out a win???

Greece ruined themselves with out of control spending and widespread tax evasion.
Every country in the world has tax evasion but this became so widespread that eventually it became accepted as the normal way of doing things from the professionals like lawyers to the working men out labouring and most every business owner

Most of Europe has socialized healthcare and it works just fine. There are different versions and some work better then others
Ireland has a limited system and most people pay extra for private insurance. The UK have a very extensive State scheme and that covers everyone though private insurance is still available.
The Dutch are somewhere in the middle

Nobody goes bankrupt over medical bills or has to take out second mortgages to pay for healthcare which seems to be an issue in the USA.

IRISH - The people who have trouble paying for health care here are those on well fare

which FDR copied after Europe's system. Everyone I know that works has some sort
of plan. There are people like my brother who lost his job and his health care. However, like Reagan said, Americans are resiliant as my brother was, or his wife was.

After not working for 21 years she got a job in a hospital and got their coverage which
includes a good dental plan. My coverage is excellent with detnal and eye vision. My
employer pays part and I pay part. Thirty years ago many employers paid for eveything
but that stopped as health rates increased.

There are about 30 million Anericans that have no helth care.

From everything I've read, Europe is trying to get out of state health care. The system
in Canada is terrible. Many along the border come down here for their health care.

They have to wait months for simple x-rays as there is a prioritized list. I get one now right away or within a day or two. When O BUMMER care kicks in I may have to wait up til 6 months.

The thing that drew me to Herman Cane was when he said he would have died 10 yrs
ago with cancer had O BUMMER CARE existed then because of the death panels. He
would have been deemed too old for treatment.

Wellfare, soc sec, and medicare contribute to a big hunk of our national debt which is
why Ryan suggested cutting it. People screamed but there may be nothing at all if
the deficit continues to spiral. They don't get it.

In short, socialism killed the soviet union and old China and Europe as the Europe collapses along with the PIIGS and everything else. China is thriving under
capitalism. Europe is ready to drop off the map because of spending and that
includes their free health care system.

And thus my comment - we'll be like Greece one day.

And don't forget, OBY added another $1T to our deficit setting this up. Between O BUMMER CARE
and TARP he added $2T to our deficit within the
    first 480 days of office.

Bush added $1T after 8 years and two wars. Mostm of that came with his Tarp after the bust and crash.

And the rest of the cost hasn't even started yet.

Like I said, we'll be as poor as Greece.

As Greg always says, nothing is free. Somebody pays for it.

True. I said that but the machine is just kicking
in and blowing the opposition away. His dirty tricks campaign vs Cane took care of him. Notice, nothing bad happened to Romeny?

Nah, there are still a lot of conservatives out there that hate Romney caus he is a liberal. A lot of
Tea Partiers, southern and battle ground statess.

I heard today that Obama is in Hawaii on vacation while his campaign has more operatives on the ground in Iowa than the entire GOP field combined. Just think about that for a second.

He always was agressive which is how an
unknown inexperienced legislature from Illionois got elected - that with Kennedy's money and
machine politics. I said OBY would probably win.

Dana Milbank wrote a couple months go that he believed the reason the GOP field is so weak and so many stronger GOP candidates are staying on the sideline is because these guys calculated long ago that Obama would be too hard to beat and they didn't want to ruin their future chances at the Presidency. I said that too, but just recently.

I am looking forward to Iowa. Imagine what woukld happen if Paul or Santorum squeak out a win???

Yes, it will be interesting but New Hampshire will
tell the story. It usually does. Remember when
Nixon knocked Muskie out in NH when he sat on
the step crying after a GOP Newspaper published a
story about his wife's probs with alcohol.

And insurance companies have shareholders and gaining a profit and increasing share value is the goal. Nothing wrong with that but the State takes over and there is no profit element built into the price plans
Putting something in the private sector doesn't always mean it's going to be more efficient

You read widely and you're constantly posting on world topics so you're informed.
But have you ever heard any other country in the world use those words death panels? What a loaded term. And a scaremongering term

And don't insurance companies do the same anyway? Exclude certain conditions and look for any possible way to reject claims. Claims reduce profit

I can't post on the first two but lax regulation, financial gambling and asking taxpayers to bail out banks, institutions and bondholders killed the PIIGS.
There was lax regulation and speculation on Wall St also. Hey, Savings and Loan scandal crises during the Reagan administration was a good example. Taxpayers ended up paying for that

That was during the eighties, we can see what's happening now and in twenty or thirty years it'll all happen again. Greed and lax regulation

Not sure how you can square the two, given the example of the Swiss, Canada, Italy and GB as the perfect example.

Yes, Greece got in this mess with out of control spending and low revenue. Problem is that taxation does not equal revenue. Yes, tax evasion is *a* problem for Greece. But it's a country that's horrible for business -- particularly the small business owner -- and that's the life blood of any country, the US included. In the aforementioned countries, they are all now moving away from state-run healthcare, or at least seriously limiting the practice.

And if a country is going broke over spending, then yes, it can be argued that people are going "bankrupt over medical bills or has to take out second mortgages to pay for healthcare" because it's an all-or-nothing equation in countries that have socialized medicine.

Nobody is breaking down the borders to run to a country that has socialized medicine.

They are, however, doing whatever they can to come here. The profit-based model has shone to be the best out of the lot over a long period of time.

    Re: Why it's Romney

Romney is a politician looking to get elected president. He has no ideology. His positions are staked based on their political value and what will sell, not on what is best for the country (which is a very hard sell). He is the last thing we need.

It would be better to lose with somebody who has the political balls to have an ideology and stick with it than this chameleon.

And Galen, if nobody listened to Coulter she wouldn't have a job working in the press and on TV.

    Re: Why it's Romney

IRISH - Thanks for the comment on being widely read and informed.

The death panels are in section 3333 of the bill and it came up in the town hall meetings during the
health care debates. I posted a vid where AARP closed down their town hall meeting when seniors
kept talking about it. DEMs like Pelosi and Reid called anyone objecting to it Nazis. There will be
a panel appointed by the party in power at the local levels consisting of Lord only knows whom to
decide who gets this free health care and who doesn't. Anyone in their 70s or even 80s could likely
be denied treatment for anything in favor of youth and thus the term death panels. Cane said he'd
    be dead with it.

I did a quick search for our spending and in the first chart with the blue and red lines. Note what has the most spending -
health and social income. Note what's third.

They greatly contribute to the debt now as the outlays exceed the revenues and a lot more will be spent with O BUMMER CARE and I posted a link
where the Dutch have drastically reduced nursing homes and expects the children to take care
of their elderly parents. Hell, I do that now with my mom. She'll be 87 this new year and I'm the
only one keeping her out of a nursing home and administer her insulin 4 times pr day plus all
her meds. I can't travel anymore because she can't and get little help from my siblings. But I
do it because I love her.

Note these figures especially on medical and social income

Coulter doesn't have a job working in the press. She stands on the sideline and tosses tomatoes at people. Outside of the occasional fox news rant, her presence is zero except for her biannually written book of recycled conservative ideas.

Romney edges out Santorum in Iowa so it's on to
    NH where he's heavily favored.

Paul who was 2d in polls finished 3rd followed by
    Newt, Perry and Bachman.
