Obviously 2011 is rapidly drawing to a close. I suspect many are headed out for some type of revelry, so being the old fart that I am, let's be careful out there! We need you all back to cheer on the Ravens, and don't want to lose anyone, even fans of other teams, to whatever!

Just want to say Happy New Year to all Ravens fans everywhere from my place in front of the computer. I'm sick.

We don't just root for the same team. You're my family, my friends, my neighbors.

I go out to Owings Mills and my 5 year old cousin's in his little Flacco jersey. My 66 year old aunt in Northwood, whose life overlaps the entirety of the Baltimore Colts, never misses a Ravens game, ever. She got me a Ravens throw for Christmas. We talk Ravens the day after every game.

Over Christmas, I finally got to visit with one of my best friends, whom I hadn't seen in over a decade and whose friendship with me goes back before there was a Ravens. And even though we reminisced over old times, old pranks, old athletic exploits, we always came back to this team.

I'm grateful to this organization and all of my fellow Ravens fans, even though we don't always agree on Cam, Joe, the Baltimore Colts, and whatever else. In the end, I know if you're a fan, you really do love this team. We're not going to pick up alot of fans because of TV coverage.

So I say in 2012, let's bring it all home, back to 100 Holliday Street again. It's been far too long.

Baltimore Ravens, let's go to Indy, bring back the Lombardi from casa de Irsay, and put it in our museum and send a postcard to Tagliabue!!!!!
