He should be an unemployed analyst. I just noticed, you can't spell analyst without anal. Hmmmm

I just hope those Steelers transients don't move over to the Ravens bandwagon. Maybe they'll hop on the Pats bandwagon. The Ravens don't need to be the favorite, we play better when we are not.

Ahhh, yes, Bucky, NOW you see the issue with trying to make conclusions based exclusively on statistics (and some homer-colored glasses). Note that Bucky's piece is dated Dec. 26, 2011, and after two readings, I see no mention of injuries to Roeth's ankle or Pouncey's injury. In fairness and IMHO, the absence of Clark in the secondary (which situation arose after Bucky's article) and those two injuries affected Pitt's performance, but I agree with the comments about how this guy sounds like the anti-Preston for their team.

He's not alone. Did anyone hear Mike Mayock doing the game the other night? "Raven fans are hoping and praying they don't have to face Pittsburgh". really? really

I hope we play better as the favorite this week.

And I saw several Pissburgh message boards in the past week with users claiming that the Ravens most definitely do not want to face the Steelers again. Really?? What part of series sweep do they not understand? Hell, last time the Squealers were in M&T Stadium, they were flat out embarrassed. And that was when they were completely healthy, and at full strength.

I just have to sit back and laugh at these idiots. So delusional.

He was making that comment in reference to the Bengals beating the Texans. And it that regards, I would have agreed with him. I had no problem facing the Steelers in the playoffs (at home), I just wanted the Steelers to go beat-up on New England first.

I don't think Clark's absence made that much of a difference. It was the scheme they were playing that had 9 in the box to stop the run when Tebow was throwing bombs all over them, not Mundy being the wrong place.

I heard that too and couldn't believe it. What part of beating them twice this season already did Mayock not get? The Steelers are the one team that the Ravens wanted to face. They go all out in those games.

I'm convinced the easiest job in the world is NFL Analyst. You can be wrong more than the weather man and still keep your job. You don't even have to watch the games. All you need to do is look at the standings from the previous few seasons and you're good to go.

Most ironic lines from that article:

The Baltimore Ravens and New England Patriots . . . are flawed squads with glaring deficiencies that could be exposed under the bright lights of the postseason. (Oh, and Pittsburgh wasn't flawed?)

A defense deemed too old and slow prior to the season has continued to rank as one of the league's stingiest units . . . the Steelers are only allowing 5.7 yards per pass attempt, which leads the league. (Tebow: 316 yards in 21 attempts)

Folks are probably going to continue picking Pittsburgh until the Super Bowl when they realize the Steelers aren't in it. Even then it's going to be a toss up.
