Words can't describe the profanity-laced initial reaction that I had to reading that.
"When questioned, the Elders explained that they were in search of magical powers. However, they're actually searching for the whereabouts of a certain ring. This ring is a legendary treasure that long ago was known to exist"

Jimmy Irsay is a strange cat!

For an odd ball like Irsay I think this is a smart move.

It's true that he still has friends here but he also realizes that he doesn't want thousands of Ravens fans who'll be descending on his city in a few weeks to literally tear the town up over something his drunken father did nearly three decades ago.

I wish he showed this level of understanding 16 years ago when he could've at least given the city back the name, colors and history until 1984. I would have no problem saying that the Baltimore Colts ceased to exists in 1984 while Indy still had the colors and nickname while developing its own history.

Will not be long before the CITY of INDY feels like Bmore did back in 1984.

Drinking from his dad's flask, perhaps?

they have a brand new stadium, a contractual obligation to play there & oh btw a once in a decade QB coming there to play in a few months that will help sell plenty of tickets once he sees the field. The Colts are going nowhere, if that is what you're implying?

I guess his hands were sort of tied in '96 since Poppy was still alive until '97.

I got no problems with Jim Irsay; it was a gracious thought on his part.

The sins of his father went with him to the grave.

Just my opinion...I can certainly understand why others may feel differently.

    Talk about patronizing.

If he's that excited for Bmore, maybe he'll give us the name, colors and
history back when he pal Steve B hoists the trophy so we can retire
them and he can call his team something worthy of Indy like The Irsays.

I hope Steve kicks Berry in the ass. I wouldn't mess with Jimmy though.
