Divisional Round Playoff Game Thread.
This thread will include three of the four playoff games this weekend. The Ravens game will get its own thread. With that in mind, this belongs in the Non-Ravens Football forum. However, I just wanted to put it here first, so that everyone will be aware of it. It will be similar to what was done last week, when all four games went into one thread.
"When questioned, the Elders explained that they were in search of magical powers. However, they're actually searching for the whereabouts of a certain ring. This ring is a legendary treasure that long ago was known to exist"

Re: Divisional Round Playoff Game Thread.
The New Orleans Saints vs. The San Fransisco 49ers.
Game 1
There are two popular questions being asked about this game. One is whether or not the Saints can put up their arcade style offensive statistics, outdoors at Candlestick. I may be mistaken, but the Saints have never won a road playoff game outdoors. The other is whether or not the 49ers can put up enough points to match the Saints offense.
I think that the 49ers defense will get after Brees and Co., unlike any other team this year. I expect Patrick Willis to shine in his playoff debut. I do not see the Saints stopping Frank Gore and I see Alex Smith adding more to the mix that most expect."When questioned, the Elders explained that they were in search of magical powers. However, they're actually searching for the whereabouts of a certain ring. This ring is a legendary treasure that long ago was known to exist"

I really want to see the Saints lose.
I love seeing dome teams get beat outdoors by defensive teams.
It must be nice to play 50%+ of your games in a temperature controlled perfect environment.

Re: Divisional Round Playoff Game Thread.
Getting any combination of Saints, Packers, and Patriots out would be very helpful.

Divisional Round Thread
Still say the 49ers have more than a chance to pull this game out If their D is able to hold em under 21, easier said then done. Should be fun

"A lot" is a two word expression denoting a great deal or greatly, as in "I like sunshine a lot." "Alot" is a lovable imaginary grammar monster. You can love a lot; you can love an alot; you can love alots a lot; but they are not the same thing.

Re: Divisional Round Thread
Are there any moderators that can merge the two game threads? There is one on 24x7 and one on non-Ravens football.

Re: Divisional Round Thread
As expected, the refs in this game are Saints fans. On the first drive, the refs gave the Saints two 1st downs. One on the bad PI call. (he was not turned around, but the receiver initiated the contact) and a favorable spot. Both times, the Saints should have faced 4th down.
The 49ers are really gonna have to earn this one.
